Riddick Fanfic: Point Of No Return

Part 12:

----Roxy's POV----

I looked at everyone."so what now?" I asked and everyone looked at each other, then my friends looked at Riddick. And Riddick looked right back at them "You have brains too" he simply said.

It was awkward. But funny.

"The cave" I blurted out. Riddick knew what I was talking about but Niki and Dominic looked confused. "We saw this cave on the way here...that could work...?" I asked and everyone nodded. Then we started walking.

We were almost at the cave and we heard a noise. I looked around "what was that?" Niki asked "Dogs" Riddick simply said.
Then two really big dogs ran at Dominic and Niki. Niki pulled out her pistol and shot one of the dogs with ease. But Dominic got tackled by the dog, but he kicked it off of him. The dog ran but two more ran over. I caught their attention by yelling 'aahhh!'. That was the worst decision ever considering BOTH dogs ran at me and pinned me to the ground. I kicked at them while Riddick and Dominic tried to pull one dog off. That's how strong the dogs were. The other dog bit my arm and pulled and I yelled in pain as I got the dogs teeth off my arm, then grabbed a rock off the ground and started bashing it into the dogs head. Sure I felt bad but I had no other choice. I got up and looked around seeing Niki looking at me and Riddick just killing the dog. My arm didn't look too bad, but the dog definitely pulled my arm out of place because I could barely move it. I grabbed my arm and Niki looked at me "Roxy... what are you doing?.."
I looked at her "what do you think? Fixing my arm" I said like it was no big deal as I looked at everyone else. Riddick was studying one of the corpses and Dominic was looking at one of the corpses. I then looked at Niki with a simple "sorry if this scares anyone" and pulled my arm to relocate it. I screamed so loud you could probably hear it from pretty far. It hurt so much I almost passed out, but instead i just collapsed on the ground and caught myself with one hand.
Everyone was looking at me now as I cursed under my breath and breathed heavily. "Holy shit you're fucking insane" Dominic said and I laughed little. But then I looked up and saw a smaller version of the dogs. "Oh shit" I said under my breath. We just killed a dogs parents. Everyone looked at the dog as it sniffed its parents corpse then started whimpering. Everyone looked confused as to what to do. Then Riddick went and picked up the dog and it struggled a bit, but then it calmed down. "Take it" he said as he handed it to Dominic and I laughed at Dominic took the dog. Riddick came over and offers a hand to help me up and I took it. "Thanks" i said and he nodded. Then we kept going

It was quiet and everyone was asleep, except for me of course. Even the damn dog was asleep. I looked out at the sky. for not being on earth or my home, it was still beautiful. You could see so many stars considering there was no light, it was almost like those star 'blankets' you see in pictures. But you could see that one planet with the rings, Saturn I believe? And a moon in the opposite direction.

*flashback*

Me and my brother laid in the tall grass looking up at the stars. It was beautiful. "Hey Roxanne" I heard him say. He was the only one that called me my full name "yeah?"
"You gotta make sure you remember times like these"
That confused me
"Times like what?"
"Times like now, here, this moment. We may not be talking much right now but I'm still happy here. With you, and me in a safe moment. I understand that people may be on our tail because of me, but I'm glad you didn't give up and walk away"
I was shocked. He was pretty wise for a 16 year old. I was only 13.
"Wow...i get it now. And you know I wouldn't leave you. Never. Unless i had no choice. Its us against the world" I said.
"Us against the world" he repeated under his breath..

*end of flashback*

I then heard a low voice. it was Riddick. he sounded like he just woke up or something
"you know, the view reminds me of furya. you know that planet?" he asked
i smiled a little, it was nice to know that another furyan was here.
"yeah, i was born there for gods sake" i laughed
"what are you laughing at?"
"the fact that you didn't know i was furyan"
"I had my suspicions.."

(YO ITS THE WRITER HERE, COMMENT WHAT U THINK THEIR RELATION IS. SIBLING? LOVERS? FRIENDS? DID THEY PREVIOUSLY MEET? go do it. now back to the program! or..book)

"So...what are you doing up?" He asked
"I could ask you the same, dick" I said
"I didn't choose the name Richard damn it!" he whisper yelled.
I laughed a little "well you staying awake?" I asked and he nodded "go rest"
"I don't want to" I said
"You're gonna be tired tomorrow"
"Wow, talkative much?"
Riddick shrugged
"You ever had any siblings" i asked, I just had to. Why was he so comfortable with me, yet so mysterious with everyone else.

He was quiet for a moment. Then he looked down "I had to leave her when she was 14..." I looked at him "Some uh, bounty hunters were on my tail and i....I was stupid." he paused for a moment "I've said enough..." He said and walked away

"Wait" i said
"What!?" He sounded upset now
"You weren't wrong...it wasn't stupid. I was in uhh...um..a... similar... situation your uh sister was in... She'll be okay." I said. I think i knew why he was so okay with talking around me now. But I want sure yet. I had to be certain before I said anything on it.
He nodded in thanks
"Well, enough of this mushy shit. I'm goin' to bed" I said as I got up and passed by him "goodnight"
"Night.." He said as he sat down by where I was sitting. I went to a corner in the cave and pulled my knees to my chest leaning against the rock wall. It wasn't very comfortable but it worked.

----Riddicks POV----
I looked out at nothing really as I thought about the event almost five years ago. A few tears escaped my eye but i wiped them
away quickly. Riddick fucking stop. Just stop! Cryings for fucking cowards! "Us against the world" I said under my breath as I pulled a necklace out of my pocket and held it in my hand.

My sister was help by two bounty hunters and I couldn't do anything about it. She was held with her hands behind her back as she struggled to break free. One of the guys grabbed her by her necklace and told her to shut her mouth, then yanked it off her neck. But she didn't listen so the two guys tried to beat her up. Then just left her. I ran over to her and tried to help her. But she passed out. I grabbed her necklace and put it in my pocket as I held her in my arms...
