chapter 10

Zach's POV

Brianna comes back walking towards the table. She looks over the railing to look down at the street.

She gasps and says, "Oh my god look"

I take a look too and see an ambulance and police cars everywhere. In the middle of the street was blood. I took a closer look to see who it is and I saw Olivia's mom crying.

"Oh god please don't tell me-" Brianna says before jetting off really quick. "Brianna wait" i said following after her. "oh god, oh god, oh god" she kept saying the whole time.

We bust through the doors out the restaurant and look at the scene. A police officer came up to us and said, "You two have to go back"

"No they can come through" Olivia's sister Ava said while crying.

The police officer let us through and Brianna gave Ava a hug.

I walked over Olivia's dad and asked him whats going on. "Coach how this happen?"

"She dropped her phone and went to go grab it, and when she tried to catch back up to us,the driver didn't see her in time,and ended up hitting her" he said while trying to hold back his tears.

I pressed my lips together and looked around. "Will we be able to go to the hospital and see her" i asked in a concerned voice.

"Yeah,we were about to go right now, wanna come?"

"yea of course!"

Me and Brianna hopped into my car and drove there as soon as possible.

*Arrived at hospital*

We quickly walked in and went to the front desk to ask which Olivia was in.

"What room is Olivia Parry in?" i asked the lady.

"She's on level 4 room 126"

"Ok thank you" i said.

Me and Brianna walked very quickly and found room 126. I knocked on the door quietly and shortly after someone said, "come in". We walked in slowly and closed the door behind us.

"How she's doing?" i said while walking over to Olivia.

"Well the doctor said Olivia could've died if we wouldn't of got her here in time. But they also said they may have to put her in a coma"

"A coma?" Brianna said.

"Yeah" Olivia's dad said.

I went over to Olivia's bed and lightly grabbed her hand and held it. She still was knocked out from the accident. There was s bruise on her head and a bleeding spot. She looked sore.

Brianna walked up to Olivia's bed and looked down at her. She started to cry. "Liv why this have to happen to you" she said while crying. I almost started to cry about I held it back.

It was getting a little late and we were still waiting to see if Olivia was gonna wake up or not.

"Who's gonna stay here with her tonight?" Olivia's mom asked.

"I will" I said.

"Ok,if anything happens or if the doctor has some new news,just call or text us" her mom said.

"Ok" I said while nodding my head.

Everyone left shortly afterwards. I went over to Olivia's bed and held her hand. "Cmon,wake up baby,don't leave" I said in a quiet voice. "I'm sorry for what I did,I should've known better not to do that. Also I'm sorry if I hurt you in the past. You know I hate hurting you and it's hurts me when I hurt you" I said to her.

She was still laying there peacefully. "Cmon baby don't leave me" I said almost about to cry. I laid there right next to her and didn't let go of her hand. Shortly I ended up falling asleep.

*Morning*
I woke up from one of the doctors that came in to check up on her.

"Are you a family member or friend?" the doctor asked. 

"Oh I'm her friend" I responded.

"Oh ok,well things are looking a little better,but were gonna have to put her in a coma"

"Do you know how long she'll be in it?" I asked.

"No sir,you never really know when they will wake up,or if they'll ever wake up at all. She could wake up in a week,months,or she may be in it forever. You just never know"

I nodded while listening to the doctor. God I hope she isn't in it forever.

I called Olivia's parents and told them the doctor said she was gonna be in a coma.

I had to leave because the doctors said I couldn't be there while they put her in the coma. Before I walked out,I leaned down and kissed her on her cheek. I walked towards the door and turned around to one last look at her and then I left.
