Just Five Of Us

chapter 1: A new beginning

Get up !!! James.... you're gonna be late for the first day in your college. Get up !!! A strong female voice entered in my eardrums, as I rolled in my bed a jug full of water was forcefully splashed on my face. Suddenly I got up quickly rubbing my eyes. As I slowly opened my eyes I saw my mom giving me a murderous look.
" Since five minutes I'm trying to make you hop out of your bed,Its half past eight within ten minutes I want you down for the breakfast." She yelled and exited the room fiercely. As I rolled my eyes towards the hanged cloak, " oh my goodness I'm not gonna fuckin be late for my first day .
Quickly I jumped out of my bed and as usual I pushed the curtain aside which was blocking the sun rays to enter inside. I looked up in the infinite blue sky and closed my eyelids and just prayed, " oh god I'm entering a new phase of life i.e the first year of college please give me the courage to face all the ups and downs".
" James after you leave for the college I will be going to the hospital to visit your aunt Anni. Don't forget to take the keys with you ". Mom said from the downstairs . I opened my eyes . I said peeping from the bedroom door," Wish her get well soon from my side". Mom tilted her head. I made my way towards the bathroom.
Within ten minutes I was at the dinning table having my breakfast. After I finished eating I grabbed my bag and planted a goodbye kiss to my mom and as usual every mum does, she started giving motherly advices," Son, get back soon early as possible, don't fight be nice with everyone and wait.. wait... Make wise decisions while choosing your friends". Mom !!! I yelled, I'm big enough I can make my decisions on my own . She giggled. I leaned down to wear my shoes and made my way towards the door after giving a smile to my mom.
As I was heading towards the bus stop the weather was looking pleasant as it was the month of july it strange me. But I was wrong suddenly the clouds started becoming dark as the evil and in 2-3 seconds the rain started pouring heavily. I rushed back towards the home . " But wait ".... I said to myself . " Mom is not there at home and I forgot to take the keys with me." Damn !!! I mumbled kicking the small pebble lying on the street.
I fastly ran towards the bicycle stand luckily it had a roof top in it the only place I could see where i would go. I reached there and sighed in relief as if someone gave me a glass of water in the Sahara desert.
The rain stopped...
After few minutes I came across the bus stop. I made my place in the long queue . While standing a lot of question were rushing in my mind, " How I'll manage to settle up in the new place of education ?,How I'll present myself in front of teachers ?, In what way I'm gonna make new friends??" Suddenly a car snapped in front of me the bubble of thoughts vanished in no seconds . As I rolled my eyes I saw my bus was heading towards me . I entered into the bus and quickly settled into the seat. The ticket conductor punched my ticket . I said, " thanks" and the bus started . " I'm freakin already late for the college, Come on !! Come on !! Move as fast as you can " I mumbled with a tensed look .
