chapter 6: Rewind

Dina's POV :

I had locked myself in my room and sobbed that entire night. When suddenly my cell phone began to vibrate, as I approached to my phone it flashed someone's name but could'nt read it due to blurry eyes. I rubbed my eyes and saw James on it. I quickly answered the call.

 "Hello...", I said in a lazy tone.
"Hello!! Dina, where are you.... and what happened why you ran away last night", James ranted. I did'nt want to give any explanations to his questions so I kept quite. "Ok!! Listen your parents are now in a better condition and they are looking for you..... come fast". As soon as I heard those words I jumped on my place and said, "What a great news...I'll be right there soon" with a smile fixed on my face I hanged the call.

As I was excited to meet my parents after a tragic accident. I quickly freshen up myself. I wore a white floral crop top with a pair of jeans. In no seconds I was downstairs plopping my house keys into my handbag after locking the front door.
In a rush I grabbed a taxi and reached the hospital. On my way towards the hospital I thought of carrying some flowers , fruits and some other stuffs which will help them in fast recovery.

  As I stepped in the hospital god knows but why!!! I had to encounter that bastard Kevin again. He was glued on the chair next to my parents ward waiting for someone. Not me again I thought to myself. "How dare you!!! You are still here", I said in a taunting way. "Listen Dina....I...I just came here to say something to you", Kevin said rising from his chair. But I interrupted, " You listen!!! first Kevin... I don't want to hear anything from you.... thank you for showing false sympathy. Now just get lost from here" I blurted out very loudly forgetting that I was standing in a hospital.

Hearing my loud voice James came out from the room. "What happened... why are you shouting", James said and "Kevin!!!... Kevin where are you going", he called out focussing eyes on him. But Kevin walked away. "Aah....frightened piglet", I smirked making a face. "What... did you said something", James questioned. " Nothing....nothing lets go inside" I said trying to ignore that thing.

As we walked in I greeted,"Hey!!! Mom and dad... how are you". "Feeling better", I enquired. "Ya dear much better", the couple answered in chorus. Good I gave a toothy smile.
Quickly I offered all those things which I had brought for them. And I also inserted mom's favourite white lilies into the flower vase.

Meanwhile we were chit- chatting about how this accident occurred and all, the nurse arrived in and all our heads turned to her. She chirped,
" Excuse me all ,its now patients dressing time.... may I request two of them to leave the room for some time". "Dina lets hangout in the canteen situated on the ground floor", James suggested. Hmm I nodded. "We'll be right back soon", I said to mom planting a kiss on her forehead.

In the canteen..............

We ordered coffee on the order counter and made our place in one of the tables placed near the big glass window and waited for our order to come. James calmly caressed my hand and said ," Can I ask you something ".
"Ya say...", I replied. "There is something fishy happening between you and Kevin and how you know Kevin", James mouthed. "I don't want to discuss anything about him", I claimed. "Don't worry..... you can trust me I won't tell anyone", James said in a low pitch voice.

I could scan his eyes and could conclude that he is so much worried about me. Looking at his innocent side of his I started crying.
"Kev...... Kevin is my..my ex- boyfriend", I stammered.
"Whaatt!!!, James exclaimed giving a shocking expression. "I will explain you in detail " I said rubbing my running nose with my handkerchief.
