Jackson politely held the door open as I waltzed into class, acting like nothing had happened. And well, nothing major had, so we're all clear there. Miss Carrie looked at me, her fire engine red lips pursing. Her makeup looked especially slutty today, with the overdone smoky eyes. Yikes, was she going to go do the principal after school?

"Aviana Presley, why are you so tardy today? You might as well have not bothered coming to class!" She folded her arms, giving Jackson the once over and then ever so subtly pushing up her cleavage. Did I mention our school was known around the county as Whore High? We had the sluttiest teachers and less than a quarter of our population was virgins. I once heard in the girl's bathroom at a basketball game from two private school that they were shocked we didn't have condom dispensers in the halls.

"Well, I got called to the office as class was starting. And there I got burdened with newb- new students, twins actually. Maybe you've heard? I had to show Kat to the gym, then I brought Jackson here. He's in this hour if you'd bother to check the roster." The class snickered, and Miss Carrie's cheeks reddened. I quickly added, "So that's why I was late."

"Sorry, ah, ma'am. Aviana was showing me to this class, what do you call, Chemistry?" Jackson chimed in, flashing a winning smile at Miss Carrie. She softened instantly, cooing,

"Yes, Jackson, this is Senior Chemistry. My, my, so your the new transfer. You may take your seat anywhere, dear. Aviana," She turned to me, her mouth turning down.

"Yeah?" I asked, holding back a smirk.

"If you're ever tardy again without an excuse, you have detention. I'm going to let you go this time, but only because-"

"I brought Jackson to your class. Okay." I finished Miss Carrie's sentence, then headed to my seat, taking my time, swaying my hips just a bit. High school was a game of manipulation, just as Kat had pointed out. I had turned into the bad girl this year, and even though I hated the attention, I liked the personality that came with being badass.

"All right, Jackson dear, take your seat. Class, open to page 92..." Miss Carrie droned, then began to read the page to us. Jackson surveyed the class, then came and sat down by me. I didn't take the time to glance over at him, slipping my phone out of my pocket and texting Brittney, who was two rows over,

Hey. You're not coming with me to Keegan's party. Sorry. I'm going to ask Kat instead.

I sent Brittney the message, who jumped as her phone vibrated in her tote. She furtively glanced around, then pulled out her phone. Brittney read the message, then shot me a pouty look. She typed a short message- thank God, I hate reading long texts- then faced front toward Miss Carrie. I opened the message as soon as it came.

Whyyyyyyy not? I'm your like, best freaking friend!!!!  I didn't even bother hiding an eye roll as I replied,

Kat is super cool, and exotic. I bet she could be a helluva lot less annoying then you. See you at lunch, bitch :)

Then I put my phone away and tuned out Miss Carrie's lecture until the bell rang.

"Okay, Jackson, what do you have next?" I asked.

"Uhh, Algebra 2?" He read, unsure. I groaned.

"That's where I'm going. Come on, let's go get Kat." I stood up, grabbing my books, and Jackson trailed after me as I shoved out of the classtoom through the hall to the gym. Kat waited patiently, leaning against the wall and chatting to Ryleigh Stern, one of the volleyball players.

"Hey, Kat, where are you going? Jackson and I have Algebra 2." I butted into the conversation. Ryleigh smiled and said,

"Hey, Aviana. Lucky you, you get to show around the new eye candy." She pointed to Jackson, who was lingering behind me, winking at a group of girls as they giggled and walked by.

"Whoa, that's my twin you're talking about! Um, I have College Comp?" She glanced at her schedule.

"Well, I'm right by you!" Exclaimed Ryleigh.

"Could you take Kat there then?" I asked Ryleigh.

"Sure. By the way, you going to Keegan's party? I heard he's gonna have, like, a hookah bar and keg station!" She gushed. I grinned and replied,

"I wouldn't miss it! I'm so ready for Friday; too bad today's only Tueday! Come on, Jackson, quit flirting and let's go. See ya Ryleigh! See ya, Kat, I'll meet you after class again."

Then I dragged Jackson off out of sight. Once I got away from them, I sighed.

"So, you're popular?" Jackson asked, sounding surprised.

"Yeah, I'm the resident badass. Long story short, it was one thing and I can't shake it. Don't look so shocked." I snapped. Jackson grinned,

"I think that's pretty hot. And hey, you've got a bad ass air around you, but you don't really wear-"

"Really? You're going to be cliche? Well, I have a leather jacket, thanks. But it's my brother's and I keep it in my locker." I chuckled ironically. I wore the jacket waaay before I became "bad", so no big deal there.

"You have a brother? No wonder you don't put up with shit. It's kinda cute." Jackson nodded.

"I put up with a ton of shit every day, actually. And yeah, I have a brother. He's married with a kid, and heaven forbid he wear a leather jacket or own any of his clothes from his wild days." I answered, ignoring the compliment. "We're here."

All morning I took Jackson and Kat to thier classes. We all had Pscyhology together. But Jackson and I had every. Freaking. Class. Together. I had to put up with him flirting and laughing and hitting up girls all morning. Sure, around his sister he was quiet, and around me he toned down the charm. But get Jackson surrounded by a group of regular girls, and he became a manwhore. I knew then that Whore High had just gotten even more scandalous.

After Gym, cue the guys whistling at me when I climbed the rope and danced on it for kicks and girls rolling thier eyes. Lunch time had come.

Now, Lunc h can be a tricky hour. You have your assigned seat for the year, and you have your set group. Sometimes you can move, but there has to be an unspoken agreement from half the student population. I normally had no problem with sitting with Brittney, Carmen, Doug, and Gordon by the windows. We were all good friends, and everyone except Carmen was in a band. We loved our group and our spot, which was sunny most of the time. However, now that I was bad, I wasn't sure if the cafeteria was the right spot for me. Especially since my artwork still adorned the wall. Jackson and Kat were talking to me, asking me about the cafeteria food, and how many calories were in an average meal- that was Kat. But I just shrugged and stood in front of the doors for a moment.

"Aren't we going in?" Kat asked, her voice a bit bitchy. "Gee, you're not a loser, right?"

"No." I answered, shooting her a look. "This is where I- nevermind, come on."

I opened the doors to the noise, and Jackson chuckled as one of them slammed. A couple of peole looked over at me and smirked. I headed into the cafeteria like I was too good for the place, not even bothering to look to the right at my art. Except when I head a masculine voice say,

"Hey, Aviana! Come sit with us!"

I turned, and there was Keegan Aller with his jock buddies and some of my girl jock friends, all at a table right under the painting. I smiled, and shouted,

"Whatever, sure!" and headed over to them, forgetting Kat and Jackson who stared at the huge drawing on the wall. Gulp. This wasn't going to be awkward at all. Just sitting under my act of rebellion with a completely different set of people.

Where had the lunch hierarchy gone? Where was my group? I didnt' see them at the windows; I saw the homeroom nerds. In the stoner spot were the band geeks. What had happened? Was the apocalypse about to begin? Instead of being centered around the trend salad bar, our student body had shifted. All toward my artwork. Oh Shit.

So, I know I speeded up the morning classes. But what really could have happened? Anyway, is anyone curious as to what exactly Aviana's "artwork" is? OR why everyone is shifting toward it? Jackson is going to become quite the ladies' man these next couple of chapters, you'll see. Think Aviana will put up with that? And yes, Aviana has a brother. But he'll come into the story later. AND BY THE WAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER IS THE ACTUAL LUNCH.
