I woke up to the same empty room

I woke up to the same empty room. Away from my family, away from friends, school, away from life. I adjusted my eyes to the box television he had in the room. There was a box television, an alarm clock, night stand, bathroom, and the letter of rules and regulations he wrote to me the first day I came here.

1. Always eat.

2. Never try and escape, there is no use.

3. Make sure you keep your personal hygiene up.

4. Never, ever, ever put your hands on me.

The first day I came to this house it was all hell for him and I.

The basement door slid open and a man came through it. His figure was slim and he had long slender legs. His skin was brown, but an ethnic brown letting me know he was indigenous and his curly black hair confirmed it. He had on light blue denim jeans, a white wife beater, and a Letterman jacket with the letter J. He was the one who brought me here and I was determined to leave. In his hand he had a tray of food. There was a burger, fries, and a drink. The drink was in a plastic cup while the aroma of the food reminded me of a fast food restaurant. My body was so hungry but I did not want to eat ANYTHING that he offered me. He sat the food down on the floor and looked at me.

"You are going to starve if you don't eat something."

Once again I turned away from the food, this being his second time trying to feed me. How could he have the audacity to try and feed me something when he just took me away from my life a few hours ago.

"Why am I here?"

Every time he came, that is exactly what I asked him. He never answered he just looked at me and at the food he had brought.

"I will make you a deal. If you eat, then I will tell you your purpose of being here."

I wanted to slap him so hard. Was he really using food as a pawn for reasoning? I wanted to be stubborn as a mule but my stomach was crying for the food and it did not smell bad at all. If anything it was enticing. I lifted the bun of the burger and inspected each layer of it and took a nibble, then a bite, and another one until it was gone.

"Okay now can I-"

"Finish your food. Please."

I ate the fries and looked at my drink. It was clear but had fizzle in it so I guessed it was sprite. I took a sip and then drunk the rest of the drink.

I opened my mouth to ask him the same thing but he silenced me with a finger.

"The reason you are here is for my amusement."

He closed the door and moved closer to me. I immediately began pacing backwards not thinking of anything but getting away from him. He paced forwards until he caught up to me and looked me in the eyes.
