Outside my classroom door, which is decorated with many colorful homemade butterflies, my mum let go of my hand and kneels in front of me. Today she is again wearing a severe bun, that means she's going to work and dad will pick me up after school. I prefer when mum's wearing her blond hair open, because then she looks so much carefree.

'So dad will pick you up on time at half past eleven at the entrance, okay ?', she speaks to me, smiling and stroking me over the green dress, which she gave me yesterday on my birthday. 'Please don't get your new dress dirty, and don't let all the boys be bad to you. Promise me that you go to Misses Hatheway when the guys again throw mud on you. Okay?

I nod and smile bravely.

'Good. Now give me a kiss.' Mum stretches the lips out, and I give her a kiss on the mouth. She strokes one last time through my long blond hair and then disappears, waving through the door.

I breathe deeply in and out before I reach for the door handle, because I hope that the guys do not make fun of my new dress , I like it so much, they would make me dislike it. Just when I want to reach for the door handle, I get rudely shoved to the side.

'Watch out, you grasshopper!', complains Jimmy and stomps with Tim and Charly past me. Jimmy opens the door and it slams roughly against my forehead and leaves a throbbing pain, but that doesn't interest the guys. They go into the class room, letting me stand here in the hallway and close the door loudly behind him.

That's mean, I had birthday, can't they at least be nice to me today? I never did anything to them . Because the pain in my forehead hurts so much, I stay on the spot and begin to sob. A first tear tumbles on my new dress and I want to return home to dad, further tinkering with him on his railroad and listening to music from his turntable. I already know that Jimmy, Tim and Charly will annoy me all day.

While I was sobbing and sniffing in front of me. The bang of the entrance door brings me of my longing for home. I cringe and see with tearful eyes behind me.

Harry, a boy from my class comes up the stairs and stares  on his feet. He walks with bowed head straight to the door of our class rooms and I go once a step to the side, because he hasn't seen me apparently. He reaches for the door handle and through a sniffle from me, he looks up to me. I realize immediately that the blue border around his left eye almost healed and the small crack on his upper lip also.

I look away when he looks at me from top to bottom, but without a strong empty radiate. He's always so tired. I wipe ashamed the tears from my cheeks. 'Hello Harry', I greet him with a whiny voice.

He blinks resigned, then he opens the door and without further words he leaves me just like Jimmy and the other ordinary guys standing in the hallway.

I breathe again deeply in and out, wish more and more to be able to return home to dad. Soon I consider easy to do so, as I would not feel good, then I might be able to call dad, so he picks me up and we can spend the day together.

Still before I can expand my plan, the door opens and Misses Hatheway's peeping out. She's still very young, 'Honor', she says confused when she sees me. She comes to me in the corridor and kneels in front of me, like Mum did it before. 'Why are you crying? Don't you want to come into the class room?'

'J - Jimmy', I begin to sob again and she understands immediately. Jimmy annoys me often and Misses Hatheway gives him repeatedly detentions when he insulted or hurt me, but he does it anyway constantly.

'Oh  sweetheart',  sighs Miss Hatheway and wipes motherly my small tears from my  cheeks , which have begun to flow again like streams. 'You had yesterday birthday. Show the class  your new beautiful dress, they'll make big eyes when they see you like this. I promise.''Jimmy called me grasshopper', I cry and play with, from my mum,  perfectly filed nails.'Jimmy makes it only because he finds you so pretty, believe me. Guys are very complicated beings.' She stands up with a smile and strokes my blond hair. 'Come in. We're already  waiting all for you.'
