Rin managed to kill the Phantom Train. His head was spinning and his whole body was disorientated. He had no idea where the train had ended up going.
He slipping his sword bag over Kurikara and wondered around. The sky was a blood red, and everything seemed darker than usual. Though he saw the sun in the distance, the atmosphere suggested it was night time.
Rin heard voices and instinctively crouched down behind some bushes.
Bushes? I should be on campus he vaguely thought but brushes it aside.
"Well Miss Eren?" he heard a deep gruff voice ask. "Sense anything out of place? The train crashed somewhere around here."
"No..." another voice spoke. The voice made Rin do a double take. It was sweet, but almost disappointed about something. The voice was bright but also... dark? He wasn't sure.
"I don't even see the train. If an Exorcist killed it, they must've died on the way. You report to Father. I'll look around in case we missed something."
"Of course Miss Eren," replied the deep voice. Rin did some thinking. The deep voice seemed to obey the sweeter voice very loyally. Before he could give it much more thought, the sweet voice interrupted him.
"How did you survive, Exorcist?" she said, somewhat angrily and surprised.
"I, uh, what?" Rin stuttered.
"I asked how you survived the trip on the Phantom Train. No human could've lived. Are you a demon, traitor?" she forcefully started asking a lot of questions that made no sense.
"Woah, hold up, traitor? Listen, all I know is that I was on that stupid train and now I'm here. Though I don't even know where here is."
The girl who must've been Eren looked around slightly. "We're just South of 16th St but don't change the subject. I don't sense much of a demon presence from you, but if you were human you'd be dead. Speak."
Rin opened his mouth to reply, then shut it after he lost his words.
Eren looked impressed. "So you did come from the train. If you were from here, you would have answered immediately. I'm guessing you don't know where you are, correct? You look lost."
"WELL NO SHIT, THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SAY!"
"Don't shout. What's your name? I'm Eren," Eren said.
"I- I'm Rin. And I'm kinda lost."
Eren looked around again, but this time making sure they were alone. "If you want my help going back I need you to answer a few questions-"
"Going back?" Rin interjected, but was met with a cold glare. He shut up.
"To Assiah. You stayed on that train too long. It took you to Gehenna."
