- Leo's POV -

Me and my mum walked into the office, where my mum signed a few forms and they gave my timetable. I looked at my subjects for the day: English, maths, art, break, chemistry, music, lunch, and double history. Ugh. I hated every subject there, except music and art. I loved music and I enjoyed art most of the time.

"Okay Leo, got everything? Have a good day honey," my mum grinned, kissing me on the cheek. I scrunched my nose up. "Thanks mum."

She waved and I waved back as I treaded through the doors that lead into the main part of the school, with a teaching assistant that was taking me to my next class which I had already missed half of.

We walked up the stairs to the English and maths department and stood outside one of many doors. "Ready?" Miss Jack, I think her name was, smiled. I nodded, butterflies filling my stomach. The nerves have kicked in now. She opened the door that squeaked causing everyone to stare including the teacher who looked about 90 years old.

"Hi Mr Buchanan, this is your new pupil, Leondre Devries," Miss Jack informed. "Hello Leondre, take a seat anywhere you wish," he warmly smiled. I nodded my head and looked around for an empty seat. I spotted one next to a girl with brown hair. She looked friendly. I quickly went and sat down, not taking my eyes off the girl.

Five minutes had passed when finally she turned around. "Hello."
"Hi," I replied with a side smile.
"I'm Claire."
"Leondre. Or Leo for short."
She giggled. "That's a really nice name. Suits you. And that accent is so cute!"
"Thanks?" I laughed.
"So Leo. Do you know anyone that goes here? If you don't you can hang around with me and my friends if you want?" She kindly offered.
"You've already made my day ten times better, thank you," I jokingly grabbed her hand and put it on my heart. She laughed and the bell went, signalling next period.
"What class you in next?" She asked.
"Ummmm, art. You?"
"Cooking," she frowned. "I'll meet you in the art corridor and we can go for break?"
"Yeah, sounds good," I smiled and we went separate ways.

The rest of the day went quick. I made quite a lot of friends for it only being my first day, Claire, Ava, Sophie, Jack, Ben and Aaron. They weren't popular but they weren't unpopular either. At least one of them were in all my classes so I wouldn't be alone at any time. All my teachers were nice and I haven't had a problem with anyone yet.

I walked home from school with Claire, Sophie and Ben in the best mood I've been in for a while. I said my goodbyes to them and walked along the alleyway that leads to my house. Not gonna lie the alley was pretty scary.

I turned the corner and unexpectedly collided with another person and I fell on to the ground.
"Wow man, watch where you're going!" he shouted.
I looked up at him. He had his hood up but I could see his blonde hair. He was taller than me and he looked a bit older, not much though, a year/two years maybe. He had crystal blue eyes and even though he wasn't smiling, his dimples were still visible. Wow.

"I didn't see you, sorry," I said, standing up and wiping myself down.
He looked at me in a disgusted type of way.
"Whatever," he said shaking his head and barging past me. I looked at him as he walked up the alley with his hands in his pockets. I stared until I couldn't see him anymore. Not in a creepy way, more curious. I sighed wondering if I would ever see this boy again and continued my walk home.
