As I walked with the rest of my team mates to our usual lunch table they decided that it was time for our anual football team dare gam, and all it reall is was a reason for them to bang a girl before the games. They each had a dare and then it was my turn, "Alright Wyatt we dare you to get that girl to fall in love with you and then you have to break her heart." Kyle pointed to a table behind us. I turned and saw the girl that they were talking about was my biology lab partner, she had straight blonde hair that hit just below her shoulders, big blue eyes, and had flawless skin.
I turned back to the boys "Isn't that kind of harsh I-" I started to say but was cut off by Drake. "Dude, it is a dare you have to do it unless you want to admit you have a weak spot for nerds." he laughed as though he knew that wasn't it. I just nodded "Fine, I accept that dare. As usual I will give you weekly updates." I sighed and finished my lunch quickly before the bell rang to go to our next class, and lucky for me I have Biology with the girl I got dared to make fall for me. That is going to be a long class period, and if that isn't bad enough Drake and Johnathan are in that class as well.
I finished my lunch as the bell rang, I threw my plate away then started walking to Biology. Drake and Johnathan were right behind me talking with cheerleaders as usual, I walked into class and took my normal seat beside the girl who's name I have got to figure out. She looked at me then looked away, I must have been staring at her, I looked at her paper to see her name it is Sophia. "Hey Sophia how was your weekend?" I asked with a smile as she looked at me with shock in her eyes that I was actually talking to her. "Good Wyatt how about your weekend?" she smiled which shocked me that she knew my name, wait everyone knows me but still I didn't exspect her to know. "It was good." I smiled a flirty smile and she looked kind of taken aback. Well that was a short conversation.
The teacher started to explain today's assignment but I already knew what to do, I wouldn't brag about this around the guys but I'm good at Biology. I kept glanceing over at Sophia and every once in awhile she would meet my gaze, in all honesty she looked like she would be a cheerleader, she does not look like a nerd as the guys would call her. "Sophia would you maybe want to come to my house to help me with this, the test is next week and I have no idea what any of this is." I said causually as she looked up at me then at my fully answered paper, that if I may add so has all the right answers. "It looks like you got it though, all your answers are right." she said looking over my paper and compareing it to her own. "Yeah but that is only because I got a boy to give me the answers before class." I lied hopeing she wouldn't ask any more questions but I could tell she wanted to. "Okay, sure what time?" she asked looking in the microscope, she didn't act like most of the girls did when I talked to them which is actually nice. Most of the girls freeze when I talk to them. "Does 7:00pm sound good?" I asked as it became my turn to look in the microscope, she nodded and wrote her number down incase something comes up.
The guy's whatch me the whole time in Biology, thankfully it was my last class of the day. I walked to my black 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, I got in and saw Sophia getting into a red 2013 Chevrolet Impala. Over all she was actually not bad looking if you ask me but I guess looks do not make you popular around her, if they did she would probably be popular. I pulled out of the school parkinglot and drove home, well I say home when in reality I am the only one who basicly lives there. My parents travel a lot and my older brother Chris moved away to college, I pretty much can do whatever I want whenever I please.
I pulled into my driveway and got out of the truck after grabbing my bag, as I walked in the house the same silence filled the air as it always does. I tossed my book bag on the couch and went to my room to change into workout clothes, I still have a few hours before Sophia will be here and I've already did my homework at school other than what Sophia is comeing to help me with. I changed into some gym shorts and took my shirt off, I went to our total gym in the den and got on the treadmill, I put my headphones in and blocked everything out as I ran.
I lost track of time and heard a knock on the door, I didn't have time to change so I just answered the door. When I opened the door Sophia was standing there with her eyes looking everywhere but at my face, I chuckled "Sorry, I was working out so I kind of lost time. Come on in." her eyes finally looked at my face as she walked in she blushed slightly. Sophia waited for me before walking into the living room, "It's okay, I lose track of time most of the time." she smiled shyly, I put my hand on the small of her back to lead her to the stairs. She looked shocked at my actions, I just smiled "We can study in my room while I get a shirt." I said as we walked upstairs, we went in my room and I put on a shirt. I sat on the bed and motioned for to sit beside me, she did so "So what do you not understand about the cell structure?" she pulled out a notebook and pencil.
We had a few laughs and she was a good tutor, to bad I really did not need one. We finished and just talked, she was putting her notebook back in her book bag when she looked back up at me a pieace of hair fell in her face. I tucked it behind her ear, she blushed a little "Thank you." she said shyly which made me smile. "No problem. You are actually a pretty cool to talk to, how come we do not talk more?" I asked then she just got a smile of humor on her face. "Because, incase you have not noticed. I am not in the popular crowd, and plus no offense but you act like a complete ass around the football players." Sophia said with honesty and I nod with a chuckle. "Oh, so you think I am an ass?" I asked but she now had a playful smile on her face, she got close to my face. "When you act like that then yes but right now no." she said and I could feel her hot breath on my face, before I could lean in she backed away.
I cleared my throat "So you are saying that if I stop acting like an ass when I'm around my team mates, then you would talk to me more?" I asked as I got up to put my book in my book bag. Sophia nodded; she was looking at my football trophies, "I have seen you play at the games, you might be the best on the team. I guess that is why you're the captain." she turned to look at me and I smiled. "Would you like to have dinner with me tonight, as a thank you?" I asked, she looked at me for a moment as if trying to figure me out. "That sounds nice, are you sure that you don't mind?" her eyes told me she was courious. "It's no trouble, it's the least I could do." I said as we walked down stairs.
We walked into the kitchen "How does hamburger and fries sound?" I asked looking in the fridge then heard her chuckle. "Yeah, you know how to cook?" Sophia had humor in her voice as I nodded, "Wow." she added. She isn't a nerd like the boys thought at all, she was actually an okay person to talk to; but I can't back down from the dare, and I'll lose either way. I could do the dare which would win me points with the boys and keep my reputaion or I could not do the dare and lose my friends; I hate being in positons like this. I may be many things but the hardest thing to me is being a player like the boys, the way they play with girls emotions and break their hearts. "You don't think I can cook?" I chuckled as she shook her head and sat on the stool in front of me. "Not really, I mean you just don't seem like the type of boy to cook." she said looking at me with her big blue eyes.
After we ate she had to go home, I hugged her and thanked her as she walked outside. I leaned against the door after she left and the door was shut, this dare I can tell is going to be hard she's to smart to fall for me. What am I going to do?
