Emily's POV
I looked around the large bustling city, overwhelmed by the huge crowds. I heard shouting and whistling. Suddenly a voice yelled my name.
"Emily! Over here!" She yelled from across the over filled street. I instantly knew who it was.
"Laura!" I yelled back, dodging the taxi's, like a game of frogger. I finally crossed the street without being flattened. Instantly I wrapped my arms around my waiting friend.
"Oh my god! It has been 6 years! What have you been doing all that time?" She asked looking at me like I was a stanger.
"College." I replied, trying not to let my excitement get the best of me.
"What? College for 6 years?" She said, taken back.
"Yeah, I wanted to be a Speech Therapist, and now I am. Enough chit chat, I haven't seen you all in 6 years!" I said, excitedly. We hopped into a cab, and drove in silence for about 10 minutes. Then we stopped at a large apartment building. "Where's the others?" I asked, looking around the large lobby.
"Upstairs, waiting for you." She said, pulling me forwards into a waiting elevator. We jumped on just in time, Laura cursing the elevator out for nearly closing on her arm. She pushed the number 10, the second to last floor.
"Eleven floors?!" I exclaimed, in awe. "Yeah, I've gotten used to it. Wait a second, are you still afraid of heights?" She asked, noticing how white my face had come.
"Uh, just a little." I managed to get out, holding on to the railing of the machine tighter."We're here!" She yelled down the hallway, getting stern looks from some people strayed through the hallway. "Room 143." She said, fumbling to find her key. Once she found it, she slowly opened the door.
"Surprise!" Yelled four people in my face. I yelped, but then started laughing.
"Rachel! Faith! Annaliese!" I stopped, looking at the fourth person. My face turned into a dark blush when he caught me staring. I quickly looked down at my feet.
"Dave." He said, lifting my head up to his, whiched made my face burn even more. "Welcome home." He said, slapping my back.
"Let's get this party started!" Laura yelled at the top of her lungs. We had a fun evening, first visiting the museum of art, which we had to leave because Laura was being too loud, second going to a fancy Italian place called "Mama Verno's", and ending the day at the statue of liberty. All 6 of us rode silently up to the top of the statue of liberty. We looked out over the sea. Once again my face turned white. Dave looked over at me, and quickly put his arm around me to stop me from panicking. My face was bright red, but I wanted this moment to last forever. He quickly looked down, embarrassed. I then lifted his chin up, looking into his light blue eyes. They shined with happiness.
"Come on you love birds." Faith said, pushing us towards the elevators. Dave glared at Faith, earning a smirk from her. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. When we arrived at the apartment, Dave took my hand, earning a blush from me. "I sure do have an effect on your blood." He said, noticing my blushing. I softly laughed, looking away. We finally made it to Laura's apartment. Dave sat down in a chair, and I took the one next to him.
"Alright, so what we're going to do is binge watch anime." Laura announced, grabbing 5 two liters of mountain dew, and 1 two liter of Pepsi. "Here bitch." She said, handing the Pepsi to Annaliese. She passed around the mountain dews to us. I immediately opened mine, causing a large sound of carbonation escaping errupt around the room. Every one looked at me, not knowing what to do. Then we burst out into laughter.
