Rucas One Shots

New Years Day

R I L E Y :
As I stepped on the rooftop, the cold, thin, crisp, breeze stinging my cheeks, making them red. I scanned the place, only to see Maya and Lucas together. My heart dropped. My knees shook. It hurts. It hurts to see them together. Well, they clearly aren't dating or anything but, Maya's happiness is important. She stepped back. Now, its my turn.

"Riley, can I talk to you?" A voice behind me said, putting their hand on my shoulder. Farkle. I nodded in approval as he dragged me further away from them. "I know you love Lucas, Riley. I see they way you look at Auggie and the way you look at Lucas. It's not brotherly like Riley! You're happiness is just as important as Maya's!" Farkle said, concern striking every single word. "But ー " I was abruptly cut short. "But what Riley? That Maya's happiness is more important? I know you love Lucas. You know that!" That's when my tears started flooding my face. I do. I always have. Ever since I fell on his lap on the subway. "Farkle. I can't!" I yelled, sobbing into his shoulder as he pulled me in for a hug. "5 minutes. 5 minutes before midnight. If you don't tell them how you feel, I will tell them. The horn blows 5 minutes before midnight Riley" "Okay, Farkle" I replied, as we walked back to where every one else was.

L U C A S :
"Lucas? Are you even listening to me?" Maya asked. Every time I looked around, my eyes would land on Riley. The way her hair flows, eyes sparkle, everything about her is flawless. But I don't think that Riley still likes me. She claims that I'm her brother and she's my sister. I don't think so. "Yeah...about an art gallary or something, right?" I asked, my gaze still focused on Riley. For some reason, I don't think anybody listens to my opinions. "Yeah. I'm just gonna get some punch. Do you want some?" Maya asked, tearing my eyes of Riley. "No. But have you noticed something off about Riley lately? It's like she's avoiding us" I replied. "I do. But it's probably nothing" she shrugged, walking away to get something.

I walked up to Riley, not realising how close our faces were when she turned around. "L-Lucas?"she choked. She stepped back much to my enjoyment, before saying anything else. "You better go. Maya's probably finding you" she monotonously said, strolling away to Smackle and Farkle. She doesn't understand! I love her! Not Maya!

T H I R D P E R S O N :
5 minutes. 5 minutes before midnight before Farkle blows the horn. It's closer than they think. As Lucas walked away, he didn't notice how Riley was hurting. As everybody awaited for the fireworks, 4 words came out of Farkle's mouth that Riley has been dreading. "Riley still loves Lucas!" Farkle yelled, making everybody turn their heads at him. Riley's face went red with embarrassment, running away from everybody else. That's when Lucas made a decision. He doesn't have to wait for the girls' answers. He ran, calling Riley's name with every step he took, leading him to Central Park.

"Riley!" He yelled, cathing Riley's attention. "Lucas! Go back to Maya! She needs you!" Riley yelled, tears staining her cheeks. "No! I don't like Maya, Riley! I love you. Not Maya!" "But you almost kissed her!" Riley replied as Lucas took a step closer. "But I didn't because it clearly wasn't my moment" Lucas said, moving his face. They were inches apart. Breath hitching their throats. "Your moment is with Maya, not me" Riley whispered.

That's where she's wrong. Lucas has always dreamed that his moment will be with Riley. He was going to do so during the time when she found out he was expelled, but didn't, afraid that she'll pull away. "Riley, I love you" Lucas said, inching his face towards Riley. Riley couldn't take it anymore. She loves Lucas. She thought about Maya, knowing that she'll be hurt. But her happiness was important too. "I love you too, Lucas" she replied, making Lucas smile. He couldn't take it anymore. He kissed her. Their lips moving in sync, sweet and soft. Filled with love. The fireworks exploaded in the background, but the only thing they felt, was each other's presence. They pulled away, smiling. "Do you know those moments we will remember forever? This is one of them. I had my moment with you Riley" Lucas said, pressing his forehead agains hers. "Happy New Year, Lucas. I love you" Riley replied, making Lucas smile even more. "I love you too, Riley" Lucas said, rejoining their lips once again

Years later...
"Lucas! Put me down!" Riley screamed . Earlier today, they got married. "Let me think about it. Ummm..No!" Lucas replied, chuckling as he put her down. "Lucas?" Riley asked. "Yeah, love?" Lucas replied, looking at the girl he will spend his whole life with forever. After what happened at New Year's Day back in 7th grade, they got together, with Maya's approval, of course. If you're wondering what happened with her that day, well, she kissed Uncle Boing. She realised that she was only confused with her feelings for Lucas. "Promise me that you'll love me forever. That I will always be the one you'll love. Promise me that okay?" Riley asked, tears dripping down her face. "Shh..baby. You always will. To me, you're the most beautiful and kind hearted girl in the world. To me, you're perfect" Lucas replied, wiping Riley's tears away.

"Now come on! Let's go have some fun! It is our honeymoon isn't it?" Lucas chuckled as Riley gave him a peck on his cheek. "I love you" Riley said, putting her forehead against his. "I love you too" Lucas replied, kissing her. "Now come on! Let's go to the beach!" Riley yelled, making Lucas grin. Their journey on love has only begun.

Whoo! First one done! This is really suckish tbh.(is suckish even a word?) Ok..um..what should I do next? This is how I imagined the New Years episode like, with something special at the end.
