Amnesia

R I L E Y :
"Lucas! Please tell me where we are going?" I asked, creating puppy dog eyes in hopes for success. "Sorry Riles. Can't tell you. It's a surprise" he chuckled, making the radio louder. Out Of The Woods by Taylor Swift was playing. Lucas knew this was one of my favourite songs, hence, he put it on. "Mkay. But you owe me something!" I replied, grinning from ear to ear knowing that I won. "Not really. If you saw this, you wouldn't want me to owe you anything. It's really big. There, I gave you a hint" "Lucas!" I groaned in frustration. All of a sudden, my vision went blank.

"Riley! Wake up!" Lucas' voice rang in my ear. What happened? Where am I? I can't seem to move. "Nurse, please! I need to be with her!" Lucas yelled at somebody. Oh no.

T H I R D P E R S O N :
As Lucas started his car, worry rushed through his veins. A drunk driver came speeding past them and hit Riley the hardest, luckily, himself wasn't hurt badly, the car was fine too. Not Riley.

Lucas reached the hospital, calling the Matthews, and their friends. They rushed to Lucas, with tears streaming down their faces. "What the hell happend to Riley?" Maya asked, trying to hide the frustration in her voice. "A stupid, drunk, dumb ass driver hit Riley really hard on her head" Lucas mumbled, blinking back his stream of tears.

Topanga replied, "Now, lets try to stay calm, especially you, Maya". Maya nodded in approval as she wiped away her tears, afraid of what's going to happen to her best friend. Farkle paced anxiously across the room, knowing the things of what could happen. That's the worst thing about being a genius. You know almost everything, including head injuries.

The Matthews dare not bring Auggie here so, Cory stayed with him, as if he was here, he would be swearing at all the doctors, demanding an answer. A doctor stepped in the hall, with a solicitous expression. "I have both good news and bad news. Good news is, she's awake. But the bad news is, she might have temporary amnesia" the doctor said, before walking back. He gestured for them to go in, but one at a time, Topanga went first.

"Hey sweetie", as Topanga sat down, Riley thought hard on who the lady in front of her was. "Who...are...you?" she inquired, keeping the blank expression on. Topanga wiped her tears away and replied, "I'm your mom, Topanga. You have a little brother named Auggie and a dad named Cory". Topanga tried to smile but failed. She bid Riley goodbye as Lucas came in. "Hey, princess. How are you?". Riley was confused as ever, staring at the boy with amusement in her eyes, "Princess? Were we dating or something before?" Lucas felt as if he fell of a 10 story building.

"No. But we had an unofficial thing going on. If you're wondering why I called you princess, it's because you've always wanted to be a princess", Lucas replied, siting next to Riley. "Was I really important to you?", Riley bit her lip, getting lost in Lucas' green orbs. "Very. You were my princess dancing sunshine and I was your mad dog. You were the sun and I was the moon. You were the most special thing to me. Together, we're the summer rain. I wouldn't be myself if I've never met you. I...we really want you back. Oh, and I'm Lucas", Lucas replied with complete honesty. "Wow...I never knew that". Riley was breathless with what Lucas said. She hopes that she could remember them, but she can't. As Lucas left, he gestured Farkle to come in.

Riley gave Farkle a smile, patting the chair next to her. "Hey Riles, do you remember me? I'm Farkle". Farkle asked, hoping she does. "No...but you can tell me stuff about you or, us!" She exclaimed cheerfully, staring at the genius in front of him. "Well, you're my fake wife, I promised you and Maya that when I take over the world, I'll give you each a piece. I have a Farkle nation and you are part of it. Without you Riley, our group wouldn't be as it is now. We need you", Farkle had tears streaming down his face until Riley wiped it off. "Don't cry, you know, you can tell the others that we could meet up somewhere and you guys can help me", Farkle grinned, and left the room.

Maya entered, wiping off the tears on her face. She noticed that Riley's ring was on the table, probably for medical reasons. "Honey...oh my god!", Riley was confused, honey? "I'm your best friend, Maya. I call you honey or pumpkin and you call me peaches",Maya picked up Riley's ring and continued, "this ring, symbolises our friendship. Ring power. Thunder and lightning, we'd be together, forever. Riles, please come back. I'm not myself without you. I know you're here, but I hope you remember me. You're the most important person to me. Through the ups and downs, you were there. Especially with what happened to my dad. Pumpkin, I love you", Riley had tears down her face now from Maya's speech. She wants to remember, but she couldn't.

L U C A S :
I stepped into Topanga's,hearing Riley's laughter. I studied her face, her beautiful hair cascading to her waist, the way her eyes sparkle when she's happy. We were going to meet up here, to try bring her memories back. She remembers her parents, Auggie, Farkle, Smackle, Zay and Maya. But she doesn't remember me.

Flashback- Third Person

As Riley entered history class, she remembered her dad, mom and Auggie. That was the happiest day for Matthews.

As Farkle did his famous 'I am Farkle' speech, Riley saw her past flash through her brain. "I remember you, Farkle, Zay and Smackle!"

Riley slid her promise ring on her finger. The day Riley and Maya met hit her like an angry gust of wind. On the verge of tears, she picked her phone and pressed Maya's contact. "Peaches!"

Flashback over- back to Lucas' POV

Riley slid her soft small hand in mine, creating a perfect fit. "Lucas, where are you going to bring me?" Riley bit her lip, a habbit she picked up when asked someone a question.

"Somewhere", I replied. She furrowed her brows, but didn't question me any further. I plan on bringing her to the place we where going to on the day of the car crash.

We reached the destination. It was a beach, Riley's favourite place. Under a tree, I decorated it with lights, placed a picnic basket in the middle and hid something very special somewhere. "Lucas... I love it!", Riley beamed. I directed her to the picnic basket.

"So that's how you ended up beating me in a game of one on one basketball". I told Riley stories of our past, hoping she'd remember. The moment lasted longer, until I said something that probably ruined it. "I love you!" I blurted. Riley was surprised, "y-you love me?" I nodded, there's no point in hiding it anymore. The rain suddenly poured, gettimg harder every minute, that's when Riley did something unexpected.

She kissed me. Riley Matthews kissed me. It was sweet and soft, I pulled her closer to me as we seperated. "Lucas, I remember".

Omg! I just watched girl meets high school prt 1 and I legit started crying. It was so good, like for once we would focus on Rilaya instead of any other ship. I don't wanna give anything away though, so I'll just shut up. This is probs my longest piece I've ever wrote. Ok, I'll just shut up now. BYE!
