Once upon a time, in a far-off kingdom there lay a small village at the edge of the woods. In this village there was a widowed gentlemen and his little son. He was a carefree young man, his name was Todrick. Although Todricks father was kind, devoting, and gave his son every luxury and comfort, still, he felt he needed a mothers care as well as his own.
And so, he married again, and this second wife had already had a family as well. She'd had two daughters just Todrick's age, Anastasia and Drizella.
It was upon the untimely death of Todrick's father, that the stepmother's true nature was revealed, cold, cruel, and bitterly jealous of Todrick charm and beauty, with his feminine features, something her daughters couldn't even do if they'd tried.
She was grimly determined to forward the interest of her own two awkward daughters. Thus as time went on, the family fortunes were give to the two vain and selfish stepsisters, while Todrick was abused, humiliated, and finally forced to become a servant in his own house.
And yet through it all, Todrick remained ever gentle and kind, because with each morning he'd had hope that someday his dreams of happiness would come true.
