The ambulance came and went. Katy with it. The worried person also came along.
---------------------------------------
Two months passed and Katy was still in a comatose state. The doctors didn't know what to do, because Katy was the only patient there for two months. They've had plenty of patients stay for longer, but they were usually wide awake by then.

Katy was different.

They didn't even know if she'd wake up.

Katy's mother was by her side, tears in her eyes when the doctor told her she's not gonna make it. Their tears became worse and the doctor felt bad for her. The doctor had begun to familiarize himself with the family, since they've been there for two months. He himself experienced something that was of this nature. His friend had passed away after being in the hospital for three days in a non-comatose state. So, he sort of understood where these parents were coming from.

With tears in her eyes, she kissed her daughters forehead and left, still crying.

Two days later, they got a call.

"Hello," said the stranger at the other end

"Hi?" responded Katy's mom, Balinda. "Who's this, please?" she asked, curiosity getting the best of her.

"I'm sorry. Totally forgot to introduce myself," The person on the other end sounded female, guessed Balinda. She was correct in her assumption. "My name is..." she stopped speaking and Balinda heard someone in the background saying something incoherently. "I'm the nurse at the hospital your daughter's at. Someone wants to speak to you... hold on."

Balinda stood in the dining room of her abode, waiting patiently for that someone to speak to her. What she didn't expect was this:

"Hi, mom."

Balinda just stood there in total shock. Her friend, Sarah, came into the room. She wanted to know what was wrong. She didn't respond, so she took the phone from her hand and said:

"Hullo."

What she didn't expect was Balinda's daughter to respond. By then, both of them stood in the dining room in total shock.

Two days ago, their daughter was in a comatose state; today she's not? What's going on? How'd she wake up? Didn't they put her in the morgue?
