A eighteen year old boy is drafted to go to war. This boy is ready to fight to the death but then finds himself a lovely young lady that falls in love with.
Today I rode into town to get seeds and more tools for the farm when I see a person shouting.
"president Jefferson Davis is look for men of the age seventeen to the age of sixty to join the confederate army".
they are looking for men to fight I need to avenge my father I say to myself as I wait in line to sign my name.
After I go over to the store and buy supplies" Thomas! What do you need? The usual? " he ask" yes the usual".as I leave the store I see this amazing look young woman red curled hair wonderful tanned skin light blue eyes.
I go over and try to introduce myself h hi there I'm Thomas"well hi there Thomas my name is Elisabeth" she says.
So Do you want to.... the theater? Tomorrow "Sure I don't see why not" great so tomorrow at dusk?"sounds good"
*At the farm*
Mama I just meet the most perfect woman ever "I'm sure she's wonderful when can we meet her?" When I am ready to introduce her to you.
And I also have something else to tell you" well let's here it" mama said okay I've decided to enlist in the confederate army. In shock my mama said"you are only eighteen years old you are to young to enlist and you enlisted without my permission!!!!"
Mama I know I didn't come to you first but it just sounded like a good idea at the time. "And now what? I'm going to lose you just like I lost your father" mama yelled out ma your not the only one who lost father I lost him to so did Marianne and Susan. Mama sits down and starts to cry my training starts in two weeks.
*The next day*
I ride over to Elisabeth house it turns out that her house is really not to far she live on a plantation farm just like me but hers is a lot bigger.
*At Elisabeth house*

Wow this is way bigger than my plantation" thank you" As we make our way into town we talk. Have you ever been to the theater before" yes once or twice as a child" I've never been is it good?"yes" .
*after the theater*
As we are going back to Elisabeth house I ask her did you like the play? "Yeah" you can be honest with me" okay I didn't really like it the actors just didn't do it with enough energy".
"Do you want to come in?" No I really have to get going and I don't really think your family wouldn't appreciate me in your house without them here" c'mon they're no here" .
Wow it look better inside" I'll give you a little tour of the house" so as she gives me a tour of her house we get to her room. She sits on the bed I walked over I sit and we start to kiss.
*The next day*
I wake up to her singing that's nice but I have to tell you something "go head you don't have yo hide anything" your going to like it.
"what is it?" Elisabeth said I worried I should have told you this yesterday but I'm going to go train with the confederate army In a week or so. "Why? Did you even think about your family about me don't I matter to you!?!?" Yes you do but this was my choice believe me I love you if I can change things I would. She starts to cry "you need to leave" Elisabeth "go now" I leave her house.
