Yuichirou's POV

I push past the people desperately trying to help out as much as they can and drop to my knees, picking Yoichi up in my arms. He slowly opens his eyes, a weak smile forming of his blood-stained lips.

"H-Hey, Yuu-kun," he mumbles, his voice low and barely audible. I run my fingers through his hair, tears streaming from my eyes uncontrollably.

"What...what happened?"

"I didn't see it....the car, I didn't see the car. It came out of no-where." He glances over to a vehicle, stationary in close proximity to us, the driver on the phone to the emergency services, panic in his voice. I keep my eyes on the small boy, wiping his tears and some of the blood with my thumbs.

"You're going to be okay....you'll be fine..." I mutter desperately, repeating myself. I glance at on of my hands as it holds his body, blood spilling through the gaps in my fingers. Yoichi is fragile, and the car must've hit him really hard. He's losing a lot of blood. The only reason I'm here is on the brink of death, the only thing that has kept me going is drifting away.

"Yuu-kun..."

"I can't....I can't lose you, too. I love you, Yoichi." I hunch over him, my voice muffled.

"Yuu-kun....K-kiss me." I look at him, my eyes presumably red and puffy. "Please, Yuu-kun. Kiss me like you want to be loved." A small smile forms across my lips, as our lips come into contact. Our kiss breaks shortly after as Yoichi lifts up his arm shakily and cups my face.

"I believe in you, Yuu-kun." His small voice trails off, his eyes closing as the blood stops spilling out of him.

"No! Yoichi, please! I need you, please keep fighting, you're going to be okay!" I intertwine my fingers with his cold, delicate hand and press my head on his chest. "Please..." The loud noise subsides once again.

My last string of hope just broke.
