17: Sommeil

Andrea's P.O.V.
We weren't wasting any time. He convinced me to move in with him since his house had a lot more space than my place, and I officially moved in about two weeks after we got back together. We hadn't told anyone at work we got back together, though a few people have noticed that we've both been happier.

Paul was so happy I was pregnant... He's been reading about becoming a new parent and how to take care of babies and of me.

"Hey." I heard as Paul knocked on the door of my office before walking in

"I brought you an edamame, quinoa, and kale salad and then wrapped in the napkin is a chickpea and peanut butter cookie." He said, which brought a big smile to my face

"I was just about to go eat, so this is a nice surprise." I said and then started eating the salad

"So, my mom called me while you were out at lunch." I said and then Paul sat down on the edge of the desk

"Yeah? What'd she say?" He asked and then I took a sip out of a water bottle I had

"Her and my dad are flying here this weekend to visit." I said and then he smiled

"Are you going to make the announcement this weekend or have you already told them?" He asked

"About?" I asked him

"Us and the baby." He said and then I sighed happily, nodding a bit, not really having much energy to speak

"I'm sorry, I just feel so exhausted... I have jaw dropping fatigue, it's kind of ridiculous." I said and then he sat up and started rubbing my back

"It's fine." He chuckled and then I took another bite of the salad

"I never told my parents we split up, actually." I said and then he sighed a bit

"Well now at least your dad won't want to kill me immediately when he gets off the plane, he can wait to do that later." He said and then I chuckled a bit

"On another hand, today marks twelve weeks, right?" He asked and I nodded

"Yep. The baby is the size of a lime." I said and then I saw a huge smile appear on his face

"Oh, let me show you something." I said, getting up and then going to the other side of the room to grab a picture my brother has sent me in the mail and then walked back over to Paul.

I sighed softly as I ran my fingers through his hair, keeping the picture between two fingers.

"Gabriel sent me this from Japan which is where he's stationed now. It's him and his Marine Corps buddies on a Tokyo subway." I said and then Paul looked at the picture

"He's back in active duty since he quit his job, so now he has no reason to be in the reserves." I said and then Paul looked back up at me

"Pretty crowded." He said and I nodded

"Yeah, sucks he won't be here for the announcement... He'll see it online though." I said and then Paul moved his hands to my lower back

"Online?" He asked and I nodded

"Unless you don't want to... It's just, supposedly people wait until 12 weeks to make a baby announcement and since now I'm going to tell my parents, I think it's also time to make a public announcement... Before rumors start going around, anyway." I said and he nodded

"Sounds fine." He said and then leaned back a bit onto my desk, sitting in a more comfortable position

"Well how about I call my mother the day we're going to tell your parents? She can come over and all of us can have a nice lunch or something to make the announcement? It's about time you meet my mother anyways." He said and then I nodded, feeling him pull me closer to him
