Falling for the Ice

Chapter 1 - My names Kaiden

I woke up in the morning to the horrible beeping of my alarm screeching from my phone. I grunted and grabbed my phone that was flashing 6:30 in my face making my eyes hurt and switched off my alarm. I sat up and realised that none of my friends were awake, typical.

I gave Millie a shove next to me she groaned and pulled the covers over her head. Not even attempting to wake her up lightly, I stood up, went to the end of the made up bed on the floor of Tess's living room, bent down and ripped the covers right off of her making her gasp as the cold morning air hit her warm skin. She quickly sat up and glared at me.

I shrugged my shoulders and said "fine then, but don't blame me if we're late for skate club".

She groaned once again and stood up to start getting ready. We woke up Tess and Blair and all got ready to go.

As soon as the clock turned 7:30 Tess and Millie were stood by the door with their skates waiting for us to go . Me and Blair being the slowpokes of the group, were still in Tess's living room, pinning the last piece of hair up and applying the last coat of mascara.

Millie shouted from the hallway "Flo, Blair were leaving without you!", we dropped our things, grabbed our skates and rushed out to the hall way. As we approached them Blair commented "Alright, Alright, we're here, chill ya beans!".

Tess's Mum drove us to the ice rink, we all hopped out of the car and walked into the ice rink. It was now around 7:45 so we had just enough time to put on our skates and do a quick warm up. 8:00 am quickly came so we got onto the ice and were greeted by the coaches and our skating friends. We all had to practice for the winter production of Snow White on ice.

The hour went by fast and we were soon outside in the warm air walking to morrisons to get our usual skate feast of energy drinks, mattessons fridge raiders, cadbury, mr kipling and sour patch kids....... healthy right.

The rest of the girls go home after skate club, but me, Blair, Tess and Millie always stay for the public skate to get in some extra practice, but also because theres almost always some really hot hockey skaters for us to gawk at.

Once we had got all our food we walked back to the ice rink. The time was now 10:00 so we had another hour before the public skate, so that meant sat in a freezing cold ice rink for an hour with nothing but energy drinks to keep us warm UURGHHH!

We were sat on a bench watching as the skate lessons continued on, we usually laugh at the people cause they're always either really old, or stupid girls who wear slut shorts and crop tops. We all feel like screaming in their faces 'you're at an ICE rink, not at the freaking beach!'. Obviously we don't, we enjoy watching the horror on their faces as they fall over and get a freezing cold, soaking wet bum!.

"Guys imagine if Tyler and Riley come!" I squealed (Tyler and Riley are these really fit hockey skaters). Blair and Millie squealed back in unison "I know, there sooo HOT!" we all burst out laughing , except for Tess who was to lost in her book to care.

11:00 am soon came by fast when we started discussing boys, so we got our skates on and jumped onto the ice (not literally). All four of us powered around the ice rink, dodging the people on ice to try and get warm. Once we had finished our warm we all met in the middle of the ice to start practicing. Our hair was all swept back and our eyes were watering from the wind as we speeding across the ice.

We all started to practice, I had to practice my double toe loop because I couldn't quite land it clean yet. Blair was practicing her double toe as well, Millie was practicing her Axel and Tess was practicing her Salchow (All figure skating jumps, if you didn't already know).

We were practicing for a solid 2 hours and it was now nearly 1:00 pm, we were all starting to get really tired from practice so we went and sat in the cafe to cool off and get a drink. As I sat down I looked up and saw Tyler and Riley waltz into the ice rink looking like actual male models. My heart actually skipped a beat, it felt like the butterflies were going to explode out of my stomach.

I nudged Tess who was sat next to me, she looked up from her book with a confused face. I gestured towards the entrance, she looked in that direction, her face lit up and she dropped her book causing the other girls to look up. They looked in the direction that me and Tess were looking in, their faces instantly lit up as well, we were at there for a good few minutes just staring at their beautifulness.

I suddenly snapped out of it and looked at the girls, they were stood in a line with their mouths wide open. I stood there and laughed for a while just watching them. It was pretty funny. I snapped my fingers in front of their faces, they all jump and looked at me startled. I laughed at them and said "come girls lets go on the ice quickly they just got on!"

We all rushed onto the ice and tried to show of as much as possible. We were all stood in a circle in the middle chatting and giggling to ourselves, as usual the boys were paying minimal attention to us, we got the occasional awkward eye contact but nothing more than that so we decided to start practicing again.

I skated of in my own direction and bent down to tighten my skate, I suddenly felt something from behind crash into me and fall directly on top of me. I lay there for a while in shock and till i felt the cold seeping through my clothes, I grunted and touched my head I attemted to get up by my self but fell right back onto my bum. I felt someone grab my arm and pull me up, i was a bit shocked at first and looked up.

I scowled and look straight at the tall boy stood in front of me I whined in his face "What was that for!" he replied with "What do you mean me, you were the bent over looking at the floor just waiting for someone to crash into you" I looked up at him, to my surprise he was really good looking...... oh shut up flo he just knocked you off of your feet.

"Me, you're blaming this on ME!, oh whatever i can't be bothered arguing with such an ass hole any ways!" i spat at him and stormed of grabbing blairs arm on my way I jumped of the ice pulling Blair along with me, I pushed the door open to the disabled toilet walked in a slammed it behind me. Blair looked at me furrowing her eye brows in confusion.

She finally spoke up "What's wrong with you moody?". I gave her a sour look "It doesn't matter, just some dick being a dick!" she giggle at my comment and asked me "Oh and who was that boy you were talking to, he was reaaaly hot!" I looked up at her and sighed "He was the dick" she frowned slightly "well that sucks!"

We both walked out of the disabled toilet and hopped back onto the ice i felt someone tap my shoulder from behind. I spun around and guess who was stood there. "Not you again" I breathed out, he chuckled slightly, he looked so cute when he smiled ...... flo snap out of it. He said "I just wanted to apologize for being a complete prick earlier, it was my fault that you fell over earlier and i'm sorry" I looked at him genuinely shell shocked i stuttered out "Uh.. Um.. Its okay, it was my fault to I shouldn't have bent over like that and expected know one to crash into me" he looked at me and smirked, he looks so hot when he smirks!......... FLO! "I wasn't actually sorry, I just wanted to see you admit that it was you" my face dropped and I hit his arm whilst saying "you are such a dick!" he smirked again "nice to meet you too" he replied

I turned around and skated back to Blair she asked me "What was that all about?" I simply said "just some stupid boy" not wanting to make a big deal out of it. She shrugged her shoulders and let it pass as we skated back to Tess and Millie. We were starting to get supper tired so we decided to leave early. We got of the ice and took of our skates. As we were walking towards the door someone grabbed my arm saying wait, I turned around to find none other than dick looking down at me (he was extra tall now because he still had his hockey skates on) I mentally sighed and waited for him speak. "can I have your number" I was shocked by his question and just stood their for a while looking at him to see if he was joking or not, no sign of joking so I decided to not make a fuss and give my number.

He thanked me and asked my name " Florence but call me Flo" I said he smiled and said "Hi my names Kaiden".
