like
a
rainbow
is
over
the
cloudsI
was
told
lilac
wasn't
enough
for youbut
the
blue
skiesI
grab
his
hand-
"Let's go."Later
On
we
seat
at
dinnerand
my
father's
fist
goes
through
a
wall
that
separates
the dinning
room
from
the kitchen-"Get Johnny out, Rose."
I
clasp
his
hand
in
mine-"I'm sorry Johnny."
He
shakes
his
hair
like
a
mane-"Its okay. Sometimes I wish, I could see."
He chuckles
stroking
my cheek -"In my world you can." I say
