Alec and Izzy ended up carrying an unconscious TJ back to the Institute, an iratze already working it's magic. The small brunette had been bitten in the fight when the unknown red head had gotten in the way, ending up with an unconscious TJ. Reluctantly Alec left the room so Izzy could change her, but once she was in pajamas he was back in like a shot.
The girl now in sweats and one of his swiped shirts, her neck bandaged up and the iratze on her left arm was once again a deep blue almost navy colour as it worked on the demon's bite and venom.
"Can't you just admit still have feelings for her?" Alec's gaze moved from TJ's sleeping face to Isabelle's grinning one.
"I don't know what you're talking about." rebuffed the older Lightwood. Izzy gave him an unimpressed look before strutting out.
Alec sat by his object of affections as her body fought off the venom. She started mumbling in her sleep, Izzy's and Jace's cropped up a few times along with his own and those of her mundane family but mostly Robby's. Alec started dozing off in the chair next to her bed and soon was just as asleep as TJ.
Blinking awake, TJ stretched like a cat after a good nap, only to feel a weight on her waist. Looking down she saw Alec's head resting on the side of her bed, one arm on her waist while his head rested on the other. She could see the dark circles under his eyes caused by the stress placed on him from such a young age, but in sleep he looked more his age rather than the ten plus years his worries added.
Getting out of the bed as quietly as possible so the exhausted Lightwood wouldn't wake up from his much needed nap. Smiling slightly TJ reached for the spare blanket that every infirmerey bed had. She threw it over his shoulders before checking her injuries.
Alec stirred awake as his arm hit the mattress. Blinking awake first thing he saw was TJ by one of the long mirrors that gave the infirmary a larger feeling. His shirt was pushed down her shoulder revealing lightly tanned skin and the gauze that covered most of where her shoulder met her neck. The tatto she'd gotten one summer while with her dad was partially visible to his eyes.
She winced slightly as the slightly bloody gauze gave way to unmarked skin. The iratze having done its work to a t.
"You're looking a lot better." Her eyes met Alec's in the mirror and she smiled back at him as he approached from the chair.
"Good as new Lightworm." he rolled his eyes at the nickname that the small brunette had been using since she arrived to the institute at age thirteen.
"How long was I out for?"
"A couple of hours nothing too bad."
"Where's Robby?"she questioned, turning to face Alec who now stood directly behind her.
"He's fine, Katie and Izzy have him." She nodded her head but already was looking at the door of the infirmary.
"Don't even think about it Winchester." warned Alec.
"Too late Lightworm!" TJ called back as she sprinted for the door and to Izzy's room.
She ignored the looks from other hunters as she ran through the Institute in only sweats and a shirt that hung off her frame with Alec hot on her trail. Reaching the room she quickly slammed the door shut startling the six month old and her parabatai from their game of peek-a-boo on the bed. Izzy simply raised an eyebrow as TJ made her way to the bed.
"What did you do now?"
"May have escaped the infirmary." shrugged off the younger shadowhunter. Izzy only laughed at her Parabatai. "Oh and Alec may be slightly pissed when he walks through the door." she informed Izzy before going to play with her son, continuing the game of peek a boo and their conversation till Robby let out a screech not happy that all the attention had been moved away from him as the girls talked. Rolling her eyes she picked him up and held him to her chest.
"You know what, I think your getting spoiled here." Robby only let out a giggle before gumming TJ's shirt with saliva. Izzy grinned a her godson, I mean come on wouldn't you?
Alec walked in the door, pissed off as TJ had predicted.
"What took you so long? Getting slow in your old age?" she teased but Alec only gave her a look full of annoyance and worry.
"Jace brought the mundane here."
