part 4- starting the journey (revised)

'I-I guess that it would be good to make sure that everything is packed' you think to yourself as you slowly stand up and respectfully announce "I'm very sorry to cut the meeting short, but I need to make sure that everything is packed and ready to go for the ride to the island."

Bismarck politely smiles and says "It's alright, Admiral, but if you need any help, then I'm sure that the rest of the squad and I would be more than happy to assist you." she looks over to them and they all give a nod, except for Tatsuta who just keeps smiling. You were about to accept, until the memories of the hentai you have stashed away resurface and you involuntarily blush

"U-umm...thanks for the offer, but it's not that much, so I don't feel the need to waste your time with that" you awkwardly rub the back of your neck and then walk to the door "But if you need me, you know where to find me" you hurriedly say walk out of the room and to your living quarters

'It would be really bad if they saw some of the stuff I have in my lockbox...' you think of the novels and mangas 'but I guess I should make sure that I have all of my clothes packed first'

You soon get all of the clothes from the dresser packed into your bag. You then pack your tea set and tea box. And finally, you pull out the stashed lockbox, but before packing it, you open it to make sure that you still have everything that you originally had in it. This, however, made you fail to notice the door opening. It was Bismarck, and she went up behind you to see what you were looking at...only to find out, and blush like crazy and shyly stutter out "A-Admiral...why do you have all of that with you?"

You jolt back, and slam the lockbox closed "W-what? How did you get in here? I-I-I'm so sorry, I didn't mean t-"

Bismarck covered her face with her hat as she tried to speak "I-If that's what you were wanting to do...I-I...I could've helped you with it... I-I mean if you wanted me to, of course"

You blush 50 shades of red as you attempt to form coherent words "T-That won't be necessary, b-but..." you put the box in your bag and stand up* "I might take you up on that offer later. Eh...i-if you want to help me then, of course. I-I don't want to get you mad or anything" You look down and awkwardly rub the back of your neck "B-But...thanks for the offer" you softly smile

Bismarck turns around and walks awkwardly to the door* "I'm sorry for bothering you..." she then speaks in a much softer, almost sultry voice "but yes, I would love to help" she starts walking faster and closes the door behind her

"Well...that went well...but should I take her up on the offer?"

Nagato opens the door quickly and walks in "Admiral (l/n), I'm sorry for barging in, but Admiral Authement sent me to get you. We need to leave as soon as possible.

"W-what? Why? What's going on?" you ask worriedly as you grab some of your bags before she explains

"The abyssals have been sighted near the route, we don't know if they know of our plans, but we do need to move and adjust the route accordingly, but if you have your things, then you need to get to the transport now, the rest of the team is already there, so don't worry"

you start to rush to the transport. When you get there, you take a seat next to the older Admiral and put your things on the floor next to you. He takes off his hat, before running a hand through his hair and putting it back on as he tiredly says "Sorry about the shorter notice, but I'm sure you understand the risk"

"Yeah, don't worry, I already had everything packed"

He smiles and explains "Prepared for everything, I assume! That's a good thing to have ya know" he pats you on the back and after the ship girls get prepared and inspect the best route, they launch and are soon on the way to the island. According to the new route, it would be 6 hours until you reach the island.

Two hours pass, and you're finally drifting off to sleep until there's gunfire being heard close by

Nagato booms over the speaker "There has been abyssals sighted and confirmed contact, we are going to try an-" a shell hits the side of the transport and then a few ta class and re -lass battleships coming towards the transport. A re-class ends up being able to grab you out of the ship and take your bag too, before speeding off as Admiral Authement fires his sidearm at them while Bismarck tried to go after you, only to be stopped by enemy aircraft. The last thing you remember is getting carried bridal style by the re-class, before getting hit in the head by a downed aircraft only hitting you before sinking into the ocean.

An unknown amount of time passes before you wake up and look around only to notice that you are in a small bed. You get up and realize that you have a bandage wrapped around your head and that the room isn't very cozy. You get up and walk to the door, only to find out that it was locked.

"Is anyone out there?!" you pound your fist on the door as hard as you can before loudly asking "HELLO?!!"

The door unlocks and the re-class from earlier walks in with a slightly guilty expression on her face "Calm down...I know that this is new to you, but we tried to get you here without getting you hurt...but because of your ships, a downed plane hit you and you got knocked out."

You look at her dumbfounded "Y-you can t-talk? L-like normally? Why did you take me? Where am I? What's going on? How can y-"

She covers your mouth and looks at you curiously "Why do you have so many questions? We just wanted to get some knowledge out of you, not military wise, but...we just have so many questions about you humans and we want you to answer them" she removes her hand

"B-But why me? I'm not the best human there i-"

She covers your mouth again and says "You did graduate at the top and get personally assigned as admiral by the emperor, right? So we figured that if the Intel that we got was right, then you would be the best match...and...our spy noticed something about you that about you that was unlike most other humans... you seem to have feelings for our kind" she blushes and hugs you with a few tears in her eyes while you just stood there awkwardly and pat her on the back still kind of shocked that they knew that about you. She happily says " T-thank you for not seeing us as monsters...at least some of us aren't" she steps away and looks at the ground " the rest of us here also want to apologize for attacking your fleet, but we needed you to come with us, and we didn't know how you'd react, but rest assured that we didn't try to destroy any of the fleet, and from what our recon planes said, they all are fine and are on their way to the island to get a search party ready to find you"

You sit on the bed and think for a moment "S-so...I'm not in danger, and the ship girls are safe?"

Re nods energetically and replies "yep~ we made sure not to harm them to any extreme...but we did have to keep them there...so it was unavoidable, but we tried our best"

"...I'll answer your questions on a few conditions. 1.) I won't have to answer any questions about classified material. 2.) You'll ensure my safety, and that I'll be able to get to the island eventually. And 3.) I get some levels of privacy when I need it."

She puts her fingers on her chin and thinks for moment "let me tell the boss, and I'm sure that they'll let that happen, but for now, we'll let you rest and we'll begin everything tomorrow." she walks to the door "and...thanks again...for letting us do this" she walks out, leaving you to sit there alone before laying down and drifting off to sleep
