Part 2- meeting Prinz (Final Revision 2/15/21)

You're still sitting on your bed, reading over the documents and wondering about why the prototype had very little information other than it being a carrier type. You were too busy thinking over the planned route, your new squad, and the meeting tomorrow to really pay attention to anything, including the time. Your focus is broken suddenly when there's a knock on your door. You get a little shaken as stand up before opening the door to find Prinz Eugen at the door with a startled expression that quickly turned into a bright smile

"Guten morgen, Admiral (L/n), I hope that you slept well"

You couldn't help but look at her with a confused expression "W-what do you mean?" You ask as you look at the clock in your room and realize that it's a quarter after 05:00 you gawk a bit before speaking out loud

"W-what? How is it already 5? B-but I could've sworn that it was 12 a little while ago..." you trail off as you notice that Prinz is looking at you with a curious expression

"Don't tell me that you didn't sleep, Admiral. You know that today's your first official day as an admiral right?" She puffs out her cheeks as she seems to be thinking. It's honestly an adorable site to witness, but considering the newly learned information you shyly respond with "Y-yeah...I-I'm aware of that...thanks. Wait, may I ask what you're doing here?"

She stops pouting as she blushes slightly. It seems to be her turn to shyly mutter "W-well...after I was told that I would be under your command, I thought that I'd come and see you along with congratulating you on becoming an Admiral" she gives you another one of her warm smiles, which you couldn't help but melt at her words, before patting her softly on the head

"T-thanks Prinz Eugen, I really appreciate that but it's commander for now"

And now it's her turn to melt as she smiles brightly obviously proud of herself

"It was my pleasure, Commander (L/n)." she steps away from the door for a moment, before she pulls a small cart from the right of her that has a large plate with bread, sausage, cheese, and salad on it, along with a few cups and a thermos of coffee on the side

"I also made breakfast if you want~" she proudly says in such a cute way, that you couldn't help but go back to melting from the sheer kindness of this ship girl.

"T-t-thank you P-Prinz...you really didn't have to, but thank you, I'd love to have some breakfast." With that said, she takes the plate and thermos and puts it on your small coffee table

She keeps wearing the beautiful smile as she announces "Well, Commander, I hope that you enjoy"

"U-umm...actually, Prinz..." you shyly look at her as you rub the back of your neck "I honestly don't think that I could finish it all. Would you mind eating a little with me?"

At this, she smiles and sits down on one side of the table

"I'd love to, Commander~ Thank you so much~"

You walk back to the door and close it, as she pours you coffee from the thermos and you take a seat at the table, opposite from her.

"Here you go~ I know that it isn't the best, but I hope that you'll enjoy it."

"Thanks, Prinz Eugen." you look over the breakfast laid out in front of you and contently smile "this is probably the best breakfast that I'm ever going to have" you chime happily

You smile as you grab the cup and take a sip and your eyes widen. A light roast german coffee. Almost perfect even without the cream or sugar. But, most importantly, this was the best cup of coffee that you've ever tasted. She looks at you, obviously not knowing your thoughts as a worried expression is plastered on her face "D-do you not like it, Commander? I-I'm really sorry, i-"

you quickly drink the rest and put the cup down and giving a thumbs up

"Don't be sorry. This is the best coffee that I've ever had!"

she blushes even more and proudly pours you another cup "T-thank you, Commander~ I'll make sure to make you lots of coffee~" she smiles and begins to eat a bit of her share of the food.

You can't help but think to yourself 'So, she's really happy this morning. Must be an early bird. I honestly don't know how they do that'

You join her and start to eat some of the amazing food. After a while, you stop eating and drink some more coffee.

"Is it good, Commander?"

"Yeah, it's delicious! And you don't have to call me admiral when we're not in front of other officers," you shyly scratch the back of your head "you can just call me (Y/n)" It seems that neither of you have to say anything after that as you can see her smiling to herself and mouthing something before she speaks again "O-ok... (F/n)..." She says slowly, testing the name "I'll make sure to do that from now on~" You can't help but melt yet again at the sheer cuteness of this shipgirl.

After a short amount of time, there isn't any food left, and Prinz picks the plate up and puts it on the cart before taking the empty thermos and cup

"Thanks for sharing breakfast this morning, Comm- I mean (F/n)" she softly giggles

"It was no problem, Prinz, I enjoyed it as well" you blush as you smile "We'll have to do this again sometime after we get to our post." You proudly say as she shyly looks down and gets red-faced once more. "Y-yes (F/n)... I'm looking forward to it." she snaps out of her daze after a few moments of silence

"Well, I'll take this to the kitchen" she turns before finger snapping and turning back "Oh! I almost forgot! The others are going to be in the meeting room at around 7. They all want to meet you too~" you pat her on the head once more as you smile contently

"Thanks for the memo, I'll be sure to meet them" you both smile and she begins to walk off down the hall. You check the clock and it says that it's 06:13 almost 45 minutes until the designated time. You sigh and start to walk to the meeting room

'Might as well get there a little early and wait'

Once you get to the meeting room and walk inside, you sit down and end up resting your head on your hand
'I'll just take a quick nap and they'll wake me up whenever they get here. Shouldn't be any problems there, right?'
you begin to close your eyes and rest
