M'gann was in her room fixing her hair and looking at herself in her mirror. She inhaled sharply. She knew she was hiding from everyone, even herself. She was a white Martians but she felt like she couldn't risk losing all the friends that she has now in her life. So she put a smile on her face but then stopped and turned towards her door. She felt a strong emotion just on the other side of the door. It felt like hate and sadness mixed in one. She got up from her seat and opened her door to see young Robin walking down the hall, his head was lower. She sighed. She knew he had been feeling very emotional and most likely sick too, but this was a little different. Something wasn't quite right but she didn't understand what it was and why was he experiencing it.
M'gann quickly followed Robin. He entered to training room and began to train. M'gann entered and Robin turned around quickly. He seemed like he was expecting to see someone else standing there. She flew over towards him, with concern written all on her green face.
"Robin, what is wrong? I can sense many emotions coming from you. Are you upset about the encounter with The Joker on our last mission or have I or one of the others done something?" said M'gann.
Robin sighed, he could see that she was very upset and it was all his fault. He was hurting her and he never meant for that to ever happened, she was his friend and it made him hate himself even more for harming her and possibly the others. Him being there was a danger to them all, he should just go.
"Everything is fine Miss. M. I am just a little distracted at the moment." he said and flashed her a smile to hopefully show her that he was okay, though it was a lie, even if he hadn't fully accepted it.
A smile came across her face, she moved closer and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. He returned the hug after a minute pause. She seemed to be back to her normal happy state.
"Would you like to join me with the others?" she questioned but he couldn't give her the answer that she wanted. He shocked his head and her smile faded a little bit. She finally allowed him to be alone in the training room as he seem to wanted. But after she left, Robin quickly grabbed his stuff and left the room. He made his way towards his bed room before anyone else came by and tried to talk to him. He felt numb and he just really wanted to be alone and not talk to anyone.
-----------------------
M'gann came into the lobby and saw Artemis and Wally arguing like they do many times. Kaldur was sitting on the couch with a book in his hand and Superboy was flipping through the channels on the television screen.
Just then the Zeta Tubes lit up and announced the arrival of Batman and Black Canary. Everyone got up to meet with them. They all gathered around but there was no sign of Robin anywhere.
Batman narrowed his eyes at the team."Where's Robin." asked Batman.
Everyone scanned the room, looking for the young Boy Wonder but had no luck placing him in the room. M'gann closed her eyes. She could sense everyone in the room and tried to locate Robin but failed to do so. She frowned and looked over at Connor who seemed to be using his super hearing to listen for their youngest friend."He isn't here." Connor finally stated and Batman turned to look at Black Canary. He then turned from the members and went to the computer in the room.
"What are you doing?" asked Wally.
He was worried that Robin wasn't here and he didn't notice him leave, but was more worried that the dark knight didn't know where he was either.
"I am locating Robin'' Batman says then sighs, "he disconnected his locator. I am going to head to the Batcave, if anyone has contact with him, report to me right away. Is that clear?"
Everyone agreed and watched as Batman left the Mountain very quickly.
"I was going to have everyone train after the debrief of the mission but I think it probably is best for Aqualad to go over the events of the mission and everyone else try to locate Robin." said Black Canary.
Everyone left the room for them to talk. Wally ran his hand through his red hair. He was trying to understand his best friend. Why did he just all of a sudden get up and leave, was he planning on doing something that he didn't want to do around the others. Million of thoughts were running through the speedsters mind and most of them weren't good thoughts. He feared that his best friend might do something to hurt himself or worst.
Artemis and Connor didn't seemed to bothered by the boy wonder's disappearance. M'gann could see that Wally looked worried as she was. She kept going over the different emotions she felt from Robin and the way he held himself and spoke to her. She tried to set a mind link up with Robin but he was too far away from her for her to reach his mind, so she connected with Wally's mind. Wally is Robin's best friend and he has known him longer than all the others, so bringing her thoughts and feelings to him might help with understanding their friend and finding him.
"Wally I need to speak to you about Robin." said M'gann through the mind link.
"Sure thing beautiful." answered Wally, which put a smile on her face.
"I know that you have seen Robin acting out of character. I just thought it was because he was ill but I am now starting to fear that it maybe much more. Do you know anything?'' said M'gann.
There was a pause and Wally wouldn't meet M'gann's eyes.
"Please Wally! I fear something bad is happening and I feel awful for not helping him when I had a chance to, he is our friend. We must help him!" yelled M'gann through the mind link, grabbing ahold of Wally's full attention.
"Fine! I know something but you can't tell anyone else about it, okay?'' said Wally. M'gann nodded her head in agreement, curiosity filled her but also worry and fear.
