Mrs. Lovett eyed the dead bodies in the cellar. She couldn't believe it. Sweeney's work was done. There in puddles of blood lied Judge Turpin and Beadle Bamford. But why were there 3 bodies? Mrs. Lovett bent down and recognized the 3rd body. It was the batty beggar who continuously pestered Mrs. Lovett. She felt sick to her stomach only because the beggar who was killed in Sweeney's presence was his wife, Lucy. She had to think fast for she knew Sweeney would come down any minute.

She took a grip around Lucy's corpse and began to drag it to the large furnace. If Sweeney found out, he'll lose his mind and who knows what he'll do. She began to unlatch the heavy metal door and swung it open. The flames flickered and sparked up giving the basement an orange glow. She looked down at Lucy, her patched up dress stained with blood. Mrs. Lovett might of been somewhat weak but could manage to throw a body in an oven. She used all her strength to rid the body for Sweeney's sake. When Lucy's lifeless body made contact with the fire she immediately was being consumed. She watched Lucy burn for a moment, feeling somewhat jealous of Lucy for she had Sweeney's heart. Mrs. Lovett could then hear footsteps approaching the basement door. She had no doubt it was Sweeney. She quickly slammed the furnace door shut and locked it up. Sweeney entered the basement and first looked at Mrs. Lovett who stood by the oven trembling.

"Are you okay? I thought I heard a scream," Sweeney's eyes then narrowed towards the bodies in the corner. He gave a devilish smile knowing the men he despised had a suffering death.

"Never better," Mrs. Lovett was breathless and began to take steps away from the furnace.

"Here, I'll take care of all this. Have you found the boy?" Sweeney kept looking left and right knowing Toby is somewhere and saw the mess.

"I don't know where he could be," Mrs. Lovett replied. "Now Mr. T, let me help you."

"I can do it alone," Sweeney began to roll up his blood stained sleeves. Though his job was finished, in his mind it didn't seem finished and never will be. Lucy and Johanna are out of his life. How can the work be done?

"You sure, love?"

"Yes! What you need to do is find that boy!" Sweeney demanded. Mrs. Lovett hated when Sweeney got in one of his insane, angry moods. She knew she needed to find Toby and so darted out of the basement leaving Sweeney alone.

Sweeney turned towards the bodies who lied dead, broken, and who clearly deserved it all. His mind and heart were wrapped around many things. Ridding Judge Turpin and the beadle, finding the useless boy, and of coarse Lucy. When Sweeney dragged the beadle halfway to the furnace he questioned himself where's the crazed beggar? The throat was slit and she fell thought the trap door, she clearly should of landed here in the basement. Then he thought Mrs. Lovett most likely rid the body already, just to ease the work.
He dropped the body and strangely found the furnace locked. Sweeney messed around with the lock and managed to break it. He swung the metal door open which gave a creak. He eyed the flames and smelt an awful stench as if a body was just now burnt. The stench was the last thing he could worry about and continued his work.

He looked down at the beadle, hard to recognize by all the dark, oozing blood. 15 years paid off and now to get rid of the pain once and for all. Sweeney lifted the body, not minding the blood and gore. He used all his strength and tossed the body right into the furnace. Sweeney gave a little laugh and watched it burn.

Mrs. Lovett hated to leave Sweeney alone but also knew when he demanded something it has to be done. She figured in order to give herself time just in case Sweeney finds out the horrid truth she might as well lock the basement door. Once she locked it she had a mission to find Toby. He most likely escaped to warn everyone of Sweeney Todd. The whole bake house was empty and so Mrs. Lovett's next guess was upstairs... Sweeney's barber shop. She began her way up the stairs and began to hear talking... In the shop. It didn't sound like Toby, but the young sailor, Anthony. Mrs. Lovett couldn't make out words but it was definitely two people talking. Johanna! She was in there. Mrs. Lovett darted back down the stairs and hid in the shadows when the shop door's bell rang. Two figures darted down the stairs with one crying. Mrs. Lovett could then see Anthony running with Johanna right by his side.
