I went to school the next day only to be approached by Token.

"(Y/N), I need your help," he begged.

"Not happening.  I'm not talking to you," I stated.

"Please, I love Nicole.  I messed up," he pleaded.

"Token, let me give you a piece of advice that I learned a long time ago.  Love can be magic but magic is just an illusion," I told him.

"What does that even mean?' he asked.

"It means that you got drunk without telling her.  You fucked the first girl you saw, got her pregnant, and lied to Nicole for nine months.  How much do you really love her?" I asked.

"But I-"

"This is your battle not mine.  Plus, I'm on NIcole's side, not yours," I stated before walike away.

Little did I know, Token had followed me to find Nicole.  As I found her, she smiled to me, but it soon disappeared as she looked past me.

"Leave Token," she spat.

I turned around to see the guilty looking male behind me.

"I'm sorry, I'll go, but first please promise me.  That's all I want.  Promise that you'll never forget me.  Tell me I changed your life in some way.  Let me know that I had an impact on you.  Promise that you'll never forget me.  Losing you is hard enough, but I don't want to go knowing I meant absolutely nothing to you," he pleaded.

"I don't know what the hell my heart beats for, but it sure as hell isn't you.  Not anymore," she frowned before leaving.

I looked to Token who looked absolutely defeated.  I don't think he's slept in days.

I sighed, "Come here big guy."

I slowly hugged him as he let out a small cry.

"Whoever said heartbreak was beautiful fucking lied," he mumbled.

"Heartbreak isn't beautiful.  It's no fucking poetry.  It sure as hell isn't staying up til three in the morning to listen to sad songs.  It's breaking down in the middle of nowhere.  It's seeing their face in all people you pass by.  It's feeling okay for a while, but out of nowhere you feel a ghost of their lips and then you are choking on the memories.  People need to stop romanticizing pain.  Stop using people like they are objects.  Heartbreak is anything but beautiful.  I wouldn't wish the  feeling upon my worst enemies," I whispered to him.

He pulled away, "Stan's hurt you that much?"

"The last year hasn't been easy," I admitted.

"Do you think that there is hope for us?" he asked.

"I wouldn't push it for now.  Give her time, and if she wants you back, she'll come back.  If she moves on, then it means you need to move on also.  It'll hurt and be hard, but there will be an amazing opportunity for you.  Don't let past feelings get in the way of that beautiful thing that could happen," I smiled.

"Thanks (Y/N).  Can I ask?  Why haven't you moved onto another guy yet?  It's been months now," he asked.

"Because my past feelings continue to get in my way," I confessed.

"Why don't you go back to Stan?" he questioned.

"I can't.  I want to so badly, and I know it'll make everything easier, but I can't.  I can't trust him," I replied.

"You know he still loves you right?" he reminded me.

"That may be true, but I have to take care of myself before worrying about him," I sighed.  "I should go, but don't let this get to you too much.  Remember, you have a kid to also look after now."

With that said, I went on my way to find Nicole.
