Savannah's POV
I walked into the Glee room and was greeted by the rest of the club. I noticed so far that the Glee club consisted of really nice people and not so nice people. Like for example, Santana and Quinn, don't get me wrong they're cool, but they're not exactly the nicest people ever. Then, there's Finn and Mercedes, who're always extremely nice, Ryder is too.
I sat in between blaine, who sat next ot kurt, and Santana, who sat next to Brittany. Mr. Schue walked into the room, grabbed a marker, and started writing on the board. Apparently this means he's writing the theme for this week.
"Dance!" He announced, "Mike, Brittany, and now Savannah are our main dancers, but to win at regionals we all need to wow with our dancing like teams like 'Vocal Adrenaline' and 'The Warblers'. So you know what that means! Booty Camp!!!"
Based off of the mix of cheers and groans, everybody else was clearly aware of what this was, but I wasn't, "What's 'Booty Camp'?" I asked.
"Oh right, sorry Savannah. Booty Camp is when we take some of the not-so-good dancers in Glee club and help them a little, but you're fine," He explained, "But that also means, we're doing dance numbers this week, and Savannah we haven't seen you dance yet, so I expect to see something from you, whether it be a solo, duet, or group number, just something" He smiled, then went on with the class.
I kinda've zoned out while he was talking about regionals, I couldn't stop thinking about how I had to dance. it's not that I can't dance, or that I don't like dancing, it's just I haven't danced in a while. In my last few months in New York I stopped. Everyone was building me up to be this amazing dancer, so I didn't want to disappoint everyone else.
Also, I was going to have to do a solo because everyone else has made their cliques, and i'm new. Everybody knows everybody's skills and level, and no one knows mine when it comes to dance. All they know is what theyve heard.
BRRRRIIINNNGGGGG!!!!!
The bell interrupted my thoughts.
"Alright, I'll see some of you after school, and remember to work on this assignment" Mr. Schuester said, and dismissed us.
I walked out into the hallway, and to my locker. I put my books in it, and when I closed it, I saw a very familiar face on the other side of the door.
"Hey" Ryder said.
"Hi" I said, "What do you need?"
"Nothing, is it a crime to wanna talk to my fellow Glee member before her next class?" He joked.
"I guess not," I laughed, "And for your information, I have a free period next, so i'm not going to class"
"What a coincidence! So do I!" He said, "How are you spending your free period?"
"I don't know, library I guess?" I said.
"Wrong" He told me.
"Wrong?" I asked.
"Wrong, you're coming with me" He said.
"What? Where?" I asked.
"Both good questions" He said, then grabbed my hand and led me to wherever he was taking me.
He ended up leading me to the football field stands.
"Did you just take me here to look at cheerleaders?" I joked.
"No. I thought it was nice outside, and....yeah" He explained.
"Okay" I said.
We started talking about our classes and stuff, and he told me how he was still kinda've new, then we started talking about this week's Glee Club assignment.
