Chapter VI - Hurt

Camila's POV

Okay, maybe I reacted wrong. But Lauren and I are no longer friends, we're even enemies and I don't want her or anyone feeling pity for me so if I show her this 'strong' side of me maybe she'll think I'm okay.

Okay I'll try to forget all that has just happened and sleep.

1 hour... I can't sleep

2 hours... I still can't sleep

3 hours... I stiiiill can't sleep

I heard a noise.

-Lauren, are you awake?- I asked

-Yes I am- She replied

-Maybe if we do something together we could sleep- she suggested

-Okay- I said

-Maybe if we cuddle together we could sleep. I still sleep with my teddy bear but I was afraid that you would make fun of me- She said

-I actually sleep with my teddy bear too- I said

-Then, you'll be my teddy bear and I'll be yours- She said

We cuddled together and tried to sleep.

-If Drew was seeing me right now he would be so mad- I said

Lauren's POV

Oh yes. Drew. Her boyfriend. I forgot that she has a boyfriend.

-Oh yes, Drew- I said disappointed

-What happens?- She asked

-Oh no, nothing. Let's sleep- I said

No Lauren, you can't like Camila. She's not even into girls. Plus, I just want to be her friend, right?

That's how the most of the weekend went. Camila and I didn't talk too much, but we didn't fight.

I know that we are progressing and we'll be friends one day, hopefully that day will be soon.

Camila's POV

Today is the day my parents come back from NY.

It's amazing how something can change in a weekend. I mean when this weekend started I didn't even want to know something about Lauren, and now I know that we're not like unicorn friends that puke rainbows but at least we don't hate each other anymore.

-Camila, your mom called me. She's on her way- Clara told me

-Okay thank you-

I started picking my things up at Lauren's room when she came.

-You know we'll have to act, right?- She said

-Act, for what? I asked

-Camila, if we say that we are almost friends we'll stop being popular. Camila we're like some celebs at school. If we stop being Lauren vs. Camila and start being Lauren and Camila we will be just a pair of nerds out there- Lauren said

-I know, but I was thinking that we shouldn't care what people say- I said

-Camila I don't know about you. But for me it was so hard to get popular, I can't just loose it all in a second- she said

Okay, that actually hurts. She doesn't think our friendship is worth it.

There were a few tears trying to escape from my eyes but I quickly wipped them away. Shen can't see that this affected me.

The silence was turning awkward but fortunately my mom came in that moment.

-Okay. I have to go. Bye-

And with that I left.

Lauren's POV

I don't know why did I say that. I'm crying. Now she will never want to be my friend. I started getting sleepy and I... well slept.

-Lauren, wake up! You have to go to school- my mom screamed from downstairs.

- 5 more minutes - I said tired

-Lauren Michelle Jauregui. I want you up now!-

-I'm up- I screamed and fell from the bed. Ouch

* 30 min later*

I arrived to the school and quickly went with my friends.

-Hey girls- I said

-Hi Lolo-

-How was your weekend?- Carly asked

-Actually horrible- I said lying

It was the best weekend in my life but I needed to act.

-Why?- Jennel asked

-Camila Cabello stayed at my house-

-I'm so sorry for you- Diamond said

-I know girls... I know-

I'm sorry Camila. I screwed things up.
