Cora POV

It couldn't have been... maybe it was him. No, that can't be. Cecilia did say he got married, but to her? She is way too nice and sweet.

"Cora." I flinched as my boyfriend, Corbin, tapped me.

"Woah, sorry baby. I didn't mean to frighten you." He said. I sighed rubbing my forehead.

"It's alright I was just thinking about something."

Corbin and I have been together for about eight years now. The true definition of a perfect man. He's a military soldier, a college graduate, a wonderful father, and the most handsome man you will ever see.

"Well, come down stairs I just finished up dinner." He kissed my forehead and left.

I was pretty lucky to find a guy like him. He's been there through the worst and best times. So I was proud to call him my own.

I came down stair to see him setting the table while Riley was writing. When I walked in he looked up and smiled. "Wow, this is smells delicious honey." I complimented and pecked his cheek.

"Just your favorite. Spaghetti with cooked broccoli and cheese."

We all sat down to eat. It felt a little nice, but that problem still stirred in my head. How could he be with her?

--------------------

Um, I do want to have Riley get use to this place. And Yoonki seems to really interested in her."

She asked with such a nervous tone. I felt bad she had to feel this way to talk to me. I get dark tone people don't get a go rep in this country, but I don't wanna make her uncomfortable for it.

I smiled wanting to show her that and accepted her offer. Plus I could use some good friends here as well. "Sure, when do you think- "

Then I saw him. He was carrying Hyejin's daughter on his shoulders. After all these years Taehyung still manages to haunt me even more. I couldn't be there. I had to get away.

"Maybe this Thursday at the coffee place downtown?" She continued.

"Oh, that's great. I'll see you there. Let's go Riley." I pulled Riley away so harshly. I didn't mean to it was reflex. I just could do it again.
----------------------

"Mama!"

I jumped at the sound of Riley calling me. Her and Corbin looked at me strangely.

"Oh, sorry. What were you saying?"

"Are you okay, mama?" Riley asked and it nearly made me wanna cry.

"No, no I was just in deep thought." I reassured her. "So what did you wanna tell me? Hm, how was school?"

Riley automatically slumped in her chair and I became concerned. She never acted like this.

"Well?" I asked again.

"Um, Riley. Tell mama what you told me." Corbin leaded to her and I rose my eyebrow.

"Do I?" She wined.

She saw that he was serious and sat back up in her seat.

"Well... in class I didn't make alot of friends. They laughed at me. Saying I was too dark."

When I heard that I thought of something from my past I never wanted to bring up. "And did you tell the teacher?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah, but she said to ignore them."

"Cora." Corbin called me as I was quietly getting furious. "It happens. You went through it." I sighed. "But it wasn't as serious as her, Corbin. I don't want it to ever get to that point."

"I know. I know. Just leave it in the school's hands." He patted my hand to calm me down again. I really loved this man. He then turned to Riley. "And if this is still happening I will come up there myself. No one messes with my lovebugs." He pinched her nose which put a smile back on her face and on mine.

----------------
That night I couldn't go to sleep. Everything was going on too quickly. First I see him at the school now my own child is being bullied for her color. It was high school all over again.

Oh god, it was high school all over again.

------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to make this longer with the flashback chapter, but I got lazy. Just know the flashback is coming right after this, but to warn you all this next chapter depic the loving Taehyung in a bad light so please be open.
