Dear Readers--
It has been a couple years since I first sat down to start writing Iron and Wood, inspired by the lack of LGBT protagonists in the fantasy genre. The original file was named "Experimental Story Scenes", and honestly I didn't expect much to come of the book. Only the idea that it might be featured made me finish it.
I could never have anticipated the positive response that Iron and Wood has received. I'm forever grateful for all the comments, votes and follows, and for the constructive criticism and support given during the writing and editing process. I truly believe the experience has made me a better writer, and its all thanks to the wonderful Wattpad community.
Speaking of which-- 100 000 views?! Thank you all so much!
In commemoration of the milestone, I've decided to restart writing the sequel to Iron and Wood: The Forest of Blades. My other book, This Red Sky, is almost complete, and I think the Empire is calling me back ;). So if you haven't had enough of Shal and her adventures, there is much more to come.
Much love,
JD Brandon
