The Accident

"Shawn you've been quiet this whole time," said Sydney.

"Um, yeah nick, I'm so glad we're friends again," Shawn mumbled.

"I never said I was friends with you," Nick laughed. Sydney's face went from an "I'm so glad everything is ok" expression to a "oh no not again" expression.

"Good because I never liked you from the start," Shawn laughed.

"Someone please say 'it's just a prank bro'," Sydney said in fear.

"It's not Sydney. Nick and I have never been on good terms. We made a compromise that we would pretend to be friends just so we would make you happy. In fact, we've hated each other since we were kids,"

"But why?" Sydney asked. Sydney now realized she asked the wrong thing at the wrong time. Shawn looked at nick with an angry face.

"I'll never forgive you for it," Nick said. Everything went silent for a minute then Nick and Shawn started yelling.

"YOU KNOCKED DOWN MY TOWER"

"YOU DID IT FIRST"

"I WORKED REALLY HARD ON THAT"

"SO DID I"

Sydney sat there looking at Shawn and Nick like they were idiots and in fact, at the moment she thought they were.

"This is what this whole hatred thing is for? Something that happened when you guys were kids," Sydney said.

"Yeah. Now you can see how much of a jerk Nick is," Shawn said.

"Now I can see how idiotic you two are. I'm leaving until you fix this problem," Sydney said as she walked out the door.
