Darryl was having difficulties getting his fingerprints checked. "The scanner ain't working." He said softly. A customs official walked over and checked out the situation. Darryl tried once more, and his fingerprints were detected. Darryl gave an apologetic look at the officer, and walked off quickly, embarrassed.
"Hey! Over here!" Aiden exclaimed, as he waved over to Kate. "Film this!"
Kate turned around, and held the camcorder up to Aiden's face. He looked at the camcorder, and raised his right hand, pointing a finger at a rack in gift shop. "Look at that creature!" He said. Kate turned to the gift shop, leading the recording. "The Merlion! Half-Lion and uhh. Half-Fish." Aiden said behind the camera.
Kate laughed. "Just like you huh!" Aiden placed both hands on his hips, and puckered his lips. "Wait. What? What does that even mean?" He retorted. Darryl held the souvenir up in his hands. "Nineteen dollars!?" He exclaimed. "Hey, it's not so bad... It's kinda cute..." Kate added. "The camcorder just filmed how much of a cheapskate Darryl is!" Aiden laughed.
"Uhh... Vic's missing again." Kate looked around the shop.
Victoria was not paying much attention to the group. She was standing by a window overlooking the planes outside. Victoria had her right hand placed on the window, as she gazed out.
"Boo ya!" Kate shouted in Victoria's ear, while she slapped her friend's shoulder. Victoria did not flinch. Her face was in a daze, looking out. "Seven Seven Six." Victoria spoke with a soft tone. "What about it?" Kate replied.
"Nothing, let's go." Victoria smiled, and held Kate's hand.
"Aw! Look! A happy family!" Kate shook her hands in glee. A family with three kids were walking together down the hall. "Hey... You know we could be like them..." Aiden said softly to Kate. Victoria laughed. "You two... Get a room!" She said.
Kate nudged Victoria, and faked a cough. "Ahem. About Darryl..." Victoria looked back at Kate and frowned. "What about him?"
"We all know how he is so into you..." Kate whispered back. Victoria looked away, and lightly punched Kate's waist. "No way. Not ever." She replied, shaking her head in disagreement. Kate laughed it off.
"let's see... Gate E5... Gate E6... There it is!" Darryl said, leading the group forward. Aiden smirked at Kate, and walked faster to catch up to Darryl.
"Okay... Now that the boys are away, tell me what was on your mind." Kate stopped Victoria in her tracks and asked. She gave a stern look at Victoria. Victoria closed her eyes and looked away. "Nothing's wrong..." Kate tugged at Victoria's shirt. "Come on. You can tell me. Was it Darryl?" She asked softly, peeking around to make sure that the guys weren't nearby.
Victoria smiled. "Of course not. The trip was great."
"Then what is it!" Kate demanded, wrapping her arm around Victoria's neck.
Victoria: "I'm just feeling weird, that's all." Victoria said, placing her hand on her forehead.
