I was walking down the hallway on a drowsy autumn morning. I dragged my feet down the hallway when I heard foot steps behind me. Before I could turn around and witness the felon who had practically assaulted me, I toppled to the ground with someone's arms wrapped around my neck. I just barely lifted my head and glanced up at the girl who was strangling me in what I assumed was a hug. "Good morning, Claude!" the girl squeeked as I began to realize what had just happened.

"Good morning, Marylin." I answered flatly. It was way too early in the morning for this. I got up as she laced her fingers with mine. I could swear I'd seen some people notice me for a few seconds during that fiasco. That's new.

"What in the world was that?" I questioned looking puzzled.

"It was a glomp." she answered, looking at me as though the answer were common knowledge. "Do you not know what that is yet?" she asked, looking shocked. I shook my head no, furrowing my eyebrows to show my genuine confusion.

"I'm sorry, that occurance isn't a mundane activity in my life." She sighed, shaking her head. Was I just clueless to her?

"It's like a hug, but better." she responded smiling brightly. I took this in for about two seconds, thinking to myself- it's an otaku thing... Walking away hand-in-hand, I stuffed my face into a book. So I've been introduced to the "glomp".

I opened up the door shaking out my hair groggily. I think I was always tired, but then again, an "anime" nerd girlfriend is much more exhausting than any other. The girl on my door step tackled me, squeazing tightly. By now I knew who it was and actually stayed on my feet. "Why do you always feel the need to do that?" I asked, seriously confused as to why.

"It's how I greet people!" she replied with a cute smile as she bounced into my house. I'd swear, she'd just come to my place uninvited for no reason at all. Still I liked and very much appreciated the company. She waltzed into my den and sat down, already having popped in another one of her DVD's like she lived here. I had enough of her DVD's and cosplay materials for people to think she did live at my place though.

"What's it gunna be today?" I asked, plopping into the seat next to her.

"Today, we're watching a movie, Howl's Moving Castle." she announced like a school teacher. The small brunette folded up her legs and curled up, letting her sleeves run over her hands. I thought it was so cute how almost all her sweaters were too big and long for her. As the movie began she smiled up at me scooting closer. The movie started in a nice enough looking town, focusing on this girl who seemed to be helping in some kind of shop and it went from there.

At the climax, the girl sitting next to me was already in tears. She clenched onto my jacket and bawled her eyes out. As soon as the main character, Sophie, found Howl as an enourmous black bird, Marylin had been reduced to tears. Not exactly knowing what to do I hugged her, my face still looking shocked. Was this girl seriously crying over a fictional charater? As the luck of the Howl character went from bad to worse, she cried more and more, stuffing her face into my chest, muffling the sound. Still unsure what to do, I kissed her forehead in an effort to make her feel better. She stopped suddenly and looked up at me and smiled, her cheeks rosey. Darn, she was a cute cryer. My cheeks began to redden as she hugged me back greatfully. Pulling away, she giggled at my red face and I looked away bashfully.

Whiping tears away with her sleeve she proclaimed, "That part gets me every time."

"Wait, you've seen this before, and you cry every single time!?" I questioned, starting to freak out and wonder how she managed to still get this upset after having seen it so many times.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I get upset?" she asked frankly.

"Because, if you've seen it before you already know how it ends! You already know it's going to be sad!" I exclaimed, flailing my arms around in confused frustration.

"Well anyway, I was wondering..." she trailed off, turning toward me. Sure, change the subject, just like that. I don't mind. I thought to myself, feeling as though I just couldn't keep up with this girl. She looked up at me with her begging face, the same one she gave me when getting me into her crazy outifts. I shuddered a bit from the memory of walking into the school building with nail polish on. Smiling widely at me she began, "Would you mind taking me to AWA this weekend?" I furrowed my brows at her again, as I'm sure she'd seen alot of buy then. Marylin began to pull up a website covered in black and white stripes and more of her crazy cartoon characters. I looked at the page expectingly, staring at schedules for panels of shows in which pink was apparently a natural hair colour. "Can we go?" she asked, seeming to get more and more excited as she scrolled and oggled at the various panels, booths, and geust appearances. I sighed smiling a little before she squealed at the list of Geusts at the con. She bounced up and down pointing to the screen. It read: Todd Haberkorn, Vic Mignogna and ZUN. Concert: Heidi. Her eyes were the size of two moons and she stared at me pleadingly. "Okay, okay we can go." I finally answered with a smile. Not realizing how happy she'd be at this I was caught off gaurd when she tackled, or glomped me, and I flopped back onto the couch. I laughed as she squeazed me happily. I actually hugged her back this time, beginning to get used to her form of showing me grattitude.

Without a sound my dad walked into the room, his thick gray hair sticking out every which way. "AHAHAHAHA! GET SOME!" he boomed with a laugh that seemed to shake the room. I bolted up, my face already bright red. I sat up glaring at him, Marylin burrying her red face into my chest. He walked out of the room chuckling to himself as I flopped back onto the couch, sighing loudly. I could feel someone looking at me and noticed Marylin grinning at me. I pushed my eyebrows up and smiled too thinking to myself. I'm going to AWA with Marylin...oh god. I'm going to AWA with MARYLIN.
