The land is ravelled in mystery, the land of the gods they call this place. The land has a beauty to it that people say that the gods gave it, allowing the richest of soil to help the plants grow. The plants are all different ranging from little flowers that scatter the floor to the hanging fruit trees that bear the gods fruit like grapes and dates. There is a large deposit of blue coloured gemstones that line the earth on the island, from sapphire to Aquamarine, from Benitoite to Iolite and more. That made the island popular for sellers but greedy minds faced danger as there ships suffered from the gods rage.
Although I and my older sister did come upon this mysterious island, my sister Sunny was five years older than me, she was twenty one and I was sixteen. We arrived at this paradise a long time ago nearly one hundred years. We were sailing with our mum and dad across the ocean to escape a civil war that had unravelled our former home, entangling all with in the war. Our home was in a small village, west of the capital. Our village was mainly used for homes for the coal miners, as there were coal mines only a mile away. There were only a few plants that survived the toxic clouds that travel over our home, the skies were always dark, and very acidic rain fell nearly twice a week. Corroding houses, statues and killing the wild life.
After the people started to side with the rulers, and others the council, our world was split as war engraved its name upon the people. Many people fled the danger of the war like my family but others were shot on sight and killed. Reports of hostages from the sides being raped, beaten and mass torture chilled my blood. We were miles away from our homeland when our father spoke of the land of the gods and its riches, although this sparked interest in my mum and sister I didn't want the riches instead a new home.
That night a ferocious storm blew rocking our boat side by side, this alerted my father and mother and they went up to try and pull the boat out the storm. Sunny grabbed my arm and pulled me upstairs where I saw a storm that must have been created by the gods. The boat was flung in all directions freeing my arm from Sunny's grasp as it did a tornado drew closer to the boat, but it didn't suck in anyone else but me. As I was pulled closer and closer I could only see my family running around like headless chickens, not even noticing their own daughter being taken away.
The force of the tornado lifted me up of my feet pulling me in closer. Not knowing what to do I called out Sunny's name hoping she would save me. She looked over at me and gave me a sad look and then looked away as I was sucked into the tornado. I woke up and I was on a beach. The waves crashed gently against the shore, shining in the summer sun. The sea was turquoise blue with little glimpses of light sky blue and the dark blue of fish silhouettes. The shore, of which the land touched the mysterious sea. Was littered with small pebbles and sea shells, with little scatterings of sea weed. Further up the shore was golden sand, curves and waves indenting it, making a beautiful sight. Past .The sand patterns was large cliffs. The cliffs were brown with the odd grey rock pointing out, they were wet and unsafe to climb on but perfect homes for the aquatic shell fish muscles, which grasped the rocks tightly.
I was alone.
