Stepping along calmly across the hall of rooms, Gaster Sans had been quite the busy bee in his room. What he had done is as much of a mystery as he himself was. Though considering himself as a father figure of the household, since most of the others were either immature, rude, or simply too lazy to care what does on, he made himself as a form of parent. If one of the others whom he called 'sons' was unhappy, he'd take care of it.
And it seemed that now would be his first time of taking care of one of his 'sons.'
Through the hall, he passed by Underfell's room, hearing sounds of what could either be discomfort or pain... Or both. Wasn't he supposed to be in the kitchen and eating? Either way, this seemed like it was a job for Dadster Sans to help! Reminding himself never to ever think of that nickname again, he stepped up to the door and politely knocked before opening the door slightly to peer in. This led to a growl and a yell from the other side, where Fell. "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?"
Gaster Sans blinked and pulled away from the door. He wasn't one to speak, but even if he did some of the Sanses might not even understand him. But, one trait taught by Gasters to their Sanses, aside from possibly Underswap knowing that version didn't even know how Gaster was, was sign language.
Moving back up to the door, Gaster Sans quietly signed to the angry skeleton that clearly did not want to be bothered. 'I'm sorry to intrude.. But is everything alright? I heard sounds from your room.' He watched Underfell for a reaction, being very cautious since he didn't exactly know everyone too well around here.
"I'm fine... So go away..." Fell muttered and looked away, walking into his room and looking back at the door as he sat on his messy bed. Seeing that Gaster Sans hadn't left and instead had gone to into the room. Obviously it was a mess just like most of the Sanses would, and Fell wasn't inclined on letting people in. "I SAID GO AWAY! ONLY MY BOSS IS ALLOWED IN HERE!"
Another pause came into the room from those words. Boss? Wasn't that the name that the Papyrus from Underfell enforced he'd be called?
Gaster Sans smiled slightly at his realization and didn't pay much attention to Fell's yelling now. He knew what the problem was, and he knew how to solve it. Or at least... Help with it.
'Do you miss your brother, Sans? Is that why you're so upset..?' He signed and took a step closer, noticing that Fell had backed down from yelling and was staring towards the taller fusion with slight surprise. Though despite this sign that he had his problem found out, he shook his head and cleared his throat. "Maybe... But what does this have to do you intrusive son of a-"
Though Fell was about to tell Gaster Sans off and swear at him, his mouth had been covered by the taller skeleton's hand as gentle as he could to be practical in quieting but also so it would be a comfortable movement. Fell grumbled underneath the hand until it was moved to behind his back, and he perked up as movement came from that same area on his back.
"Wh-what are you..?" Fell trailed off with soft whimper as he was hugged. Was Gaster Sans trying to comfort him? It was an odd feeling... He'd never been treated like this. Though before he could even commit back to the hug like his body wanted to, the taller of the two pulled away and signed to him. 'You miss your brother, don't you?'
At this, Fell looked away with a saddened grimace. It was none of his business if he missed him or not! Though... Why not tell him? His bro wasn't here to tell him not to... And he did actually miss his brother quite a lot. There was only Sanses in this house, and although some did remind him of his brother, none were close enough to what he actually was.
"Maybe..." He muttered, leaving a quiet air to fill the room. Aside from the soft sounds of the ventilation system that ran through the entire house, it was silent at that moment. And after what could've been considered hours of silence between the two, Gaster Sans leaned his hands down to hold Fell's. This gave the edgy skeleton this odd feeling again... Maybe this is what it felt like to be comforted? It almost... Almost made Fell want to cry, but he'd deny it.
He wouldn't cry. He wasn't weak. He was strong. Stronger than any of the other monsters here! He- He had to be... For... For his brother...
Underfell felt his body shudder and start to tear up, he couldn't control his emotions as he went on to himself about strength and staying strong. And without even seeming to control his actions, he ended up hugging tightly onto Gaster Sans. The fusion wasn't caught off guard with this, and if he were honest, he was actually expecting this.
Wrapping his arms around the smaller skeleton that was breaking down in front of him, he took a deep breath and gently rubbed his back. Even without speaking, he knew exactly how to comfort such a tormented soul.
"I-I guess I do miss him...." Fell finally admitted with a sniffle, pulling away and shoving Gaster Sans back a bit in the process. He didn't mind it much, it wasn't even a rude shove this time. "But that won't change anything. I'm s-still gonna be strong!" Though the normally angry skeleton would have used confidence in those words of his, he found them somewhat lacking. Before he could even think as to why, Gaster Sans had started signing again.
"Uh- Mind saying that again?" He muttered to the taller skeleton as he watched his hands more carefully so he could actually pay attention and see what he was saying. 'I'll be here to help you stay strong.'
Gaster Sans had a grin on his face, a caring one, which was finally met back with a genuine smile from Fell. Well, it was more of a playful smirk, but close enough to it. "Really? You're going to give me this sappy stuff? Get outta here!" Fell chuckled and shoved Gaster Sans away rougher, though not in a hostile way, in more of a playful and funny way.
Gaster Sans nodded and laughed under his breath before turning away and stepping out of the room. Looks like he actually helped, and all without a single injury. Gaster Sans 1, son problems 0.
((Okay, so I'm somewhat unsure on how this one is, but! But I had a lot of fun with this one. Mostly because I love Gaster Sans and I figured he'd be like a calm father rather than a pleasing to the eyes and more kinda guy~. And... Well, I imagine with him being a fusion of both Gaster and Sans that he can kinda melt during times of stress. Just a little headcannon that could turn into something later! ^w^
