It was hard and painful recovery but I made some progress everyday. I look at the news and see soldiers,airmens, sailors, and marines dying over there. My teammates already came back from Afghanistan after year over. It was our last two days until we were going home until me and three other were wounded.
I get letter from them. We write back and forth to know how we r doing.
Fast forward
We came back home to the state. I was now retired combat marine veteran. Back to civilian life was hard but I got a job to be New York cop. It was great to be back in the action.
I talk to my teammates and see them every other day
We had pretty normal life after the war as it can be
