I sighed heavily and sunk into the front seat of my Mother's black Audi r8. I didn't want to go to Ireland. But of course here I am.... In Ireland.

"Where are we going again Mother?" I asked impaitently.

"To visit an old family friend so behave darling." I looked back out the window. We were in the countryside of Ireland, well countryside that over looks the ocean. I'm not from Ireland. I was born in Auburn, Maine and so is my Mother. My Father who is now deceased was born in Dublin. He and my Mother were both filthy rich, but I don't really think much about that. We were driving along the road and I was looking out the window until I spotted this huge mansion.  We pulled into the drive of the mansion and I couldn't stop gawking. It was bigger than my Grandparent's mansion!

"Darling, we're here." I nodded and stepped out of the car when she pulled it into park.

"Be nice and lady like." I smirked and rolled my eyes. Lady like? Please, she's been trying to get me to do that since I was 10. I followed her to the front door and a maid opened it.

"Mrs. Fuller! Oh and Miss Fuller please come in. Mrs. Scott is in her study. Please follow me." We followed her into a room with shelves of books all over the walls. I saw a lady sitting at a desk, she turned when the door shut and then she grinned at the sight of my Mother."Laura!" My Mother cried out. The two of them met in the middle of the room.

"Valaree! So great to see you again!" The met and hugged. When my Mother pulled away she gestured to me. I walked to her side and shook the lady's hand.

"This is my daughter Georgianna."

"But please just call me Georgie, Mrs. Scott." She smiled at me and gestured to the small couch, and my Mother sat down.

"Well then I have to ask you to call me Laura." I nodded and sat on the couch next to my Mother.

"Darryn should have already been here. That boy sometimes, what am I to do about him?" While they talked and caught up with eachother I started to count the shelves, I was that bored. When the door opened it revealed a boy. He seemed to be about 18 maybe 19. He was very attractive, but I thought it was just my 17 year old girl talking to me. Either way, I found him attractive.

"Darryn take those damn things out! You know I hate them!" He huffed and took out his ear rings, they were just diamond studs the kind you see alot with guys. I started to mess with the ring on my necklace. My Mother looked at me when I started to mess with the ring, and I noticed that Darryn a ring very similar on his right ring finger. Odd.

"Honey, I have something very important to tell you." Mother spoke up and I looked at her. "Yes, Mother? What is it?" I asked in my lady like voice.

"Well, you see Darling you are engaged to Darryn." My jaw dropped. I had heard of arranged marriages, but never thought I would be involved in one!

"What?! How can I be engaged to him when I've never even met him?" I'm pretty sure this can't be right... Can it?!

"Well, your Mother & Father, God bless him, and I had arranged this when you two were just toddlers." Laura spoke up. Darryn just stood in the doorway and listened. He didn't even say anything! That jerk, he's in this as much as I am. How can he just stand there and look so smug? Even though the smug look does look good on his face... Oh stop thinking that way Georgie!

"You're going to be staying here for awhile dear. I'm sorry, but it's just until the wedding date." How is that going to comfort me?

"What? How can you just leave me with people I just met? I don't even have any of my belongings!" I halfway raised my voice at my Mother. Then I remembered there were other people in the room and I backed down a bit. We all walked outside and Darryn stopped at the door. I hugger my Mother and she opened her car door. She looked at me and smiled a sad smile.

"I gave Laura all your sizes and she bought you new clothing." And with that she left. I watched her drive off and disappear into the horizon. We all walked back in and Laura returned to her study, which left me alone with Darryn.

"I'm supposed to show you to your room." I heard Darryn speak for the first time and I loved his deep voice.By the time I turned around, I saw Darryn headed towards the stairs. I quickly followed him and he lead me to a room.

"Here's your room. I down the hallway if you need anything." He walked off putting his ear rings back in. He turned around facing me before entering a room, I guess it was his.

"Dinner's in a hour! What's your name?" He called out to me, and I smiled.

"Georgianna. But call me Georgie!" I went into the room and decided a nice shower might calm my nerves. I walked into the bathroom and saw the bath tub with jets. Maybe a nice long bath would be better. I filled the tub and added some bubbles that smelled like cinnamon. I tied my hair up and took off my necklace and bracelets.I then stripped and sank into the nice warm water. About 30 minutes later I decided to get out because the water was getting cold. I dried off and wrapped the towel around my body. I went back through the bathroom door and headed to the other door. I opened it and found a big, huge walk in closet. I'm thinking it's a formal dinner. I found a new bra and pair of underwear and put those on. I walked back to the bathroom and grabbed my old clothing. I threw those and the wet towel into the clothes hamper. Then I walked back into my room to find some new clothing.

"Well someone looks hot. Maybe this soon-to-be marriage won't be so bad." I jumped and turned to see Darryn in my doorway. He winked at me and leaned against the door frame, so I ran over to him, pushed him out, and slammed the door. Sorry Laura I said mentally to myself and her. I went to my closet and picked a white strapless dress. It had a white bow with green lace on the bow to outline it, and green lacey fabric on the bottom. I slipped on some green flats and my necklace which had the cursed wedding band on it. Yeah I figured out what it was in the bath tub. I dried my hair and walked out of my room. I still had 15 minutes so I walked to Darryn's room to tell him off. I didn't bother knocking and just walked in. He was laying on his bed watching TV. I walked over to him and slapped him.

"What the hell?!" He jerked up and turned the TV off. He was about 6'0 and I was 5'6.

"That was for being such a perverted jerk! Apologize to me!" I yelled at him and stood my ground, just like my Father would've told me too. If he were still alive that is, that's what I think he would want me to do.

"For what? Being a guy?" He stood his ground too. Neither of us were going to back down. I could see these arguments would go no where very quickly.

"Yes! You had no right walking into my room without knocking."

"You had no right to walk into my room without knocking." I shut up and looked at him. I figured we could get to know each other.

"Why don't you have a Irish accent?" I asked him and decided it was a good start and question. His mother had an Irish accent and he doesn't.

"Because my Dad was American. Rich bastard who left us. What about you?"

"Born in America. Mom's from there too, Dad was born in Dublin. But he's.... gone." I looked at my feet and frowned. Darryn laid a hand on my shoulder andgave it a reassuring squeeze. "Listen, we may not know each other very well, but you can trust me I guess. I don't really know how to be comfort people. My mom isn't the best at either. So let's get to know eachother better, after dinner get changed and come back to my room. We're gonna watch movies." I looked at his face, trying to see if there was a hint of lying. I saw none.

"Alright. That sounds great Darryn. Now can we go eat? I'm starving!" He laughed and offered his arm in a goofy way. I took it and we strutted downstairs. I enjoyed this sudden mood change in him, and I hope it stays. When we got to the doorway of the dining hall, and he dropped my arm. he took on serious look and relized why. He's always serious with his Mother around. I grabbed his elbow and dragged him out into the hallway. "Darryn, please be nice. I don't know what's happened between you and your Mother, but I don't enjoy the cold and serious you. So be happy, just because you are with me. And I'm pretty damn awesome." I smirked and he smiled at what I had said. He nodded his head. We walked into the dining hall and sat down. Laura at the head of the table, me to her left, and Darryn to her right. This might be a very nice dinner, or it could go horribly wrong. I leaning more towards the very nice dinner. Atleast I hope.
