Shit shit shit. I was so dead. It was almost midnight which meant my dad was almost home. I had snuck out to go to a party and I cringed at the thought of facing punishment from my dad. I silently made my way up the porch steps and unlocked the door. I snuck through the living room towards the stairs, I thought I was safe until I heard my dad's voice call to me. "Where were you?" He asked his green eyes boring into my grey ones. I loved my eyes, it was one of the things that tied me to my mom. Honestly though, I looked so much like my mom. "I said where were you?" My dad asked interrupting my thoughts. "I-I" stuttered. "What have I told you about stuttering when taking to me?" My dad asked enraged. He reached forward and grabbed a chunk of my curly black hair yanking hard and pinning me to the wall. "I'm sorry." I whispered, my eyes glazing over with tears. "Speak up." He roared before the back of his hand collided with my face. My head snapped to the side but seeing as he still held my hair it didn't go far, which actually caused more pain. I let out a whimper of pain which only earned me a swift punch to the gut. He released my hair. "Now get to bed you worthless piece of shit." He spat at me and gave me a shove which sent me sprawling to the ground. I scrambled to get back up but the sadistic bastard kicked me causing me to fall again. I stayed down until I heard his heavy footsteps leave the room. I shakily stood up and made my way to my room. I quickly changed into my pajamas and climbed into bed. Broken, quiet sobs racked my body as I fell asleep. I miss you so much mom, was the last the though before blissful unconsciousness swept over me.
