There were only a couple of minutes left of class and as soon as the bell rang I stormed to my locker. Bently's locker was right next to mine and she was already there as i threw open my locker and shoved my books inside.
"Whats wrong?" She asked. I took a deep breath and opened my more to speak. Before I could however an arm wrapped around my waist
"Hey babe I bet our kid is gonna be beautiful, I hope it's a girl and I hope she looks just like you." Cameron said, his trademark smirk gracing his face. I rolled my eyes and shoved him away.
"Well considering its a doll that seems highly unlikely." I said sarcastically. I turned to face Bently. "Lets go." I said buy she wasn't listening. She was too busy staring at Cameron. Her bright green eyes dreamily fixed on him. "Benlty let's go." I hissed grabbing her arm and practically dragging. her away.
"How do you know him?" She asked dreamily.
"We have a school project together." I said grudgingly.
"Your so lucky." She gushed and I rolled my eyes.
"It's just a stupid project." I told her.
~Cameron~
I watched as Adalyn angrily stormed away. Damn she was sexy. She wasn't giving in easily but I would make her come around. I mean who could resist me. And honestly I like Adalyn. She was pretty and smart. Strong and determined. Sweet and nice. I smiled, Adalyn you will be mine.
"Can you believe it I got Jacqueline as my partner for health." My best friend Braiden said interrupting my thoughts.
"Really? Ouch man it's gonna be a long two months." I said sympathetically. Jacqueline was nothing more than a high maintenance bitch. We had a thing a while back but she was too bossy and controlling. I didn't like it so I ended it. Ever since then she has been a mega bitch acting like it's my fault she is like this.
"I know right? That baby is a spoiled brat in the making." He said shaking his head and I nodded in agreement.
"Well you have my sympathies man." I told him.
~Adalyn~
"Whats the project?" Bently asked, bouncing with excitement.
"It's stupid." I grumbled
"Tell meeeeeee" She pouted.
"Its a stupid project where we have to raise a fake kid for a couple months ok?!" I shouted at her and she flinched.
"I'm sorry. I'm just a bit stressed right now." I said with a sigh. She smiled at me a gave me a hug. Everything seemed to be falling apart around me. Between my dad and this project I couldn't take it. Tears welled up in my eyes but I held them back. I refused to shed another tear for that bastard. With a shaky breath I pulled out of the hug and bade Bently goodbye. I made my way to my car and started the long drive home. Hoping to whoever was listening that my dad wasn't home. I turned down my street and I could already see his black car in the driveway.
"Dammit." I cursed under my breath. Apparently fate wasn't on my side. I shakily pulled into the driveway and got out of my car. I slowly made my way to the front door and pushed the door open. I only hoped I could avoid him for a while.
'Adalyn." My dad said from the kitchen. "We need to talk." I noticed his voice wasn't slurred which was new.
"Yea dad?" I asked quietly and made my way to the kitchen. When I entered he was sitting at our kitchen table playing with his cell phone.
"I got a call from your school today." He said staring me down. I gulped racking my brain of anything I had done lately.
"O-oh?" I asked.
"You want to tell me about this project?" He said.
"Um well it's a project where I have to raise a fake kid with a partner." I said quickly while averting my eyes.
"Yes that's what the teacher said. He also said that you have to live with your partner for the two months." He said and my head snapped up. What? I must have missed that part. I stayed silent, unsure of how to answer.
"Well you cant live here." He said finally. Shit I most definitely don't want to live with Cameron for two months but at the same time, two months away from dad was heaven.
"A-alright, um I'll talk to my partner tomorrow about it then." I mumbled.
"Good, glad we got that settled." He said and stood up and left. Probably to get piss drunk at some bar.
