Let's review:
But seriously people take your time and have patients cuz maybe one day it could save a life....😔
This sentence is from my other book "Good advice & other nonsense."
So the story behind it is.....you guessed it! SAD!!!
It's also very personal to me sense I shared a freaking birthday with this guy! Plus he was basically the son my parents never had!!Like seriously my siblings are all girls!!
Ahem...but back to the story.
My friend....let's call him Stevie. He was riding his motorcycle to work, at the time my dad and couple of our other friend worked at the same place as Stevie. They were right behind him when it happened.
He was riding through an intersection when a lady didn't have the patients to stop before pulling out of a gas station.
She pulled out an hit Stevie.... He tried to slide the motorcycle on it's side to stop from getting hit....it didn't work, his motorcycle flipped over before it stopped with him under a car.
My dad was only a few cars away when it happend. He'd saw the whole thing, he jumped out of his car a ran over to Stevie.
He began to pray an sing to him. The friends that were in the car with my dad call my family an the rest of our church group giving them a simple message. "Guys guys, Stevie's been hit by a car we need prayer right now." He hung up leaving my mom in shock.
She called all of my sisters in to her room an told them. "Guys we need to pray...Stevie was hit by a car." My little sister an I were still asleep at this time, we were the youngest and still very little.
But I can tell you it was terrifying to wake up to your whole family in warfare for someone's life. At the time we knew it was Stevie who they were praying about but not what happened.
My little sister and I began to "Sing gods not dead" from our room trying to contribute to the prayers.
A little later one of our sisters told us that mom wanted to talk to us. We were brought to her room to see all of our sisters and our mother crying in her bed.
Our mother sat an called us closer, she took our hands in hers before giving us this awful new.
This was the way she told us of a loss most of our lives.
"Girls...*sniffle* Stevie died today...on his way to work." She let out a sob, I broke down at this crying my eyes out.
I shared a birthday with this guy! He was only 23 years old!! He was one of the happiest kindest people you could meet. She hugged us as we all laided on her bed grieving.
I left the room after a while, going outside collapsing on the concrete, yelling at the devil and at god for taking someone who had such a big future.....someone who had so much life still to live.
I now understand the reason why God couldn't give him back to us that day. His body was to damaged for it to live on.
This is where I get my quote from....Now a days I say it to my family when their being inpatient.
"Patience saves lives."....It really is the Truth.
His and my birthday was a while ago....and throughout the whole day the only birthday present I really wanted was one of his hugs.😢
So I say this to you.
Patience saves lives.
