Ashton

I walk into school seeing Cameron talking to her friends Amber and Lively. I see Calum waiting for me at my locker.

"Hey man!" he says, doing the bro hug.

"Hey! What's up?" 

"Well, not much..Just a bit tired 'cause of last night."  Calum sleeps at his girlfriend, Sydney's house pretty much everynight after a fight with his parents a month ago. Since then let's just say he barely sleeps at night 'cause he can't keep his dick in his pants.

"Did not want to know that." I mutter.

"Well since my sex life is more exciting than yours i'm sure you do." He responds, winking.

I slightly punch his arm. "ouch!" I laugh "Shut up! I'm waiting for the right moment okay?"

"Ashton you need to wake up..Cameron just doesn't like you! You can't keep hoping like that! it's been 7 years!" He sighs. "You need to move on.."

"I can't Cal! You know she's the one for me. Anyways, where are Luke and Michael?"

"Probably skipping school. Today's the History exam and you know how they are..I bet you 10 bucks they're off to the beach." He says rolling his eyes.

Michael and Luke always have been like that, don't get me wrong, we love them! They're my bestfriend since 5th grade, but sometimes they act all rebel and me and Calum are just not like that.

The bell rings so I take my books and head to class. Mr. Yang is there waiting for the students to come in, as soon as we're all in, he passes the History exam and I start.

I was good at school. Every night, my parents forced me to study in every subject but I had nothing else to do so it didn't really bothered me. The test was pretty easy but I could see Calum struggling beside me. I gently slide my sheet on his desk while the teacher isn't looking. "Thank you." He mouths. He slides the sheet back on my desk. I get up and put it on the teacher's desk.

"And another record Mr. Irwin with 15 minutes 23 seconds. Are you sure to ace it?"

"Pretty sure Mr. Yang! Have a great day."

Since I always finished my exams before the others, I had a privilege to go at the computer lab but it happened that Cameron was in her Theater class so I liked to watch her sing for a little before returning to the computer. She had such an angelic voice..When we were younger she used to sing to me but that was before we kind of drifted apart in 8th grade when she started to hang out with other people and completely changed. Now she takes drugs and goes to parties but I know deep down that the Cam I know isn't completely gone. And I want her back.

The bell rings, I rush back to my locker. Cameron doesn't need to know that I enjoy spying on her! Calum is again, waiting for me at my locker. "Still spying on Cameron I see?"  My eyes get wider. "Shut up! She's just beside us!" He chuckles and throws his face in his hand. "You act like a 6th grader Ashton." I roll my eyes. "Shut up." A couple minutes later we see Luke and Michael entering the school. "Hey boys! How was your History exam?" Says Luke. Calum playfully push him in the locker. "Fuck you man." I say. "Mr. Yang is giving both of you detention for dinner tomorrow by the way." Michael burst into laughter. "And you think we'll go? Hahaha!"

The day ends and I pack my bag and head to my car, when I bump into someone. I get up and see Cameron holding her arm. "Are you okay Cam? I'm so sorry.." She rolls her eyes. "Watch where you're going Irwin." She says, getting up.

Calum's right, I really need to move on.
