3.

When Kimberley returned to the table alone, it took Cheryl over 10 minutes to come back to join her, except Kimberley had decided not to wait around and joined the other three girls on the dance floor, getting close to Nadine again. Cheryl lowered her head when she saw Kimberley with her hands on Nadine when Cheryl knew they should be on her. What an idiot. Thought Cheryl about herself.

Cheryl had had enough. She left without anyone noticing and as soon as she stepped outside she cried and text Kimberley and Nadine. She got a taxi and went straight home to bed, turning her mobile off first.

Still at the club the other four where still on the dance floor until Nadine noticed Cheryl wasn't at their table, she nudged Kimberley and looked towards their empty table. Kimberley took Nadine's hand and walked over. Kimberley looked around the table, looking for Cheryl's stuff but nothing was there. Kimberley felt Nadine's hand on her arm.

"Cheryl text me..." Nadine slowly said looking at Kimberley, wondering if she should show Kimberley the text. Kimberley had the right to see it anyway so Nadine gave Kimberley her phone. Kimberley read it over in her head.

<LEAVE HER ALONE> was all it said. Kimberley felt sick, physically sick. How could things get like this? Why has all this happened? They were such good friends one minute, lovers the next... now pratically enemies.

Cheryl and Kimberley woke the day after the night of Cheryl's birthday in bed together. They looked around the room and realised they were in Nadine's house, neither of them could remember how they got there though. The thoughts slowly came trailing back when they realised they weren't in bed alone, but with eachother.

"Kimberley" mumbled a sleepy Cheryl. "Are you awake babe?" she asked, recieving a tired groan from Kimberley. Cheryl cuddled closer to Kimberley, enjoying the feeling of have her so close, feeling her skin on the older girls. She felt so safe in her arms. "I love you Kimberley" sighed Cheryl.

"Cheryl I..." started Kimberley before pausing for a bit "I love you too. I have done for months... I hope you know that angel" Cheryl lifted herself up and kissed Kimberley softly on the lips. Cheryl loved the pet name Kimberley gave her, she never called anyone else it but her.

Kimberley quietly walked down the stairs of Nadine's house when Cheryl had drifted off to sleep again. Smiling at the three faces in the living room, she walked into the kitchen to make herself some coffee. Once it was made, she brought it into the living room with herself and sat down on one of the sofas by herself, not saying anything. After a minute or two, Kimberley could feel three pairs of eyes on her.

"Ok, what? Is it my hair? I have just woken up you know" said Kimberley to the girls' questioning stares, straightening out her hair.

"Kimberley, babe, have you seen the time?" asked Nadine, Kimberley looked over to the clock which read 13:37. Kimberley choked on her coffee.

"Oh my god... must have been a late night" she sighed, looking into her cup of coffee trying to get the image of Cheryl's head between her legs out of her mind.

"Oh we know it was. Thanks to you and Cheryl I did'nt get any much needed sleep last night" complained Sarah.

"What do you mean?" asked Kimberley, silently praying Sarah wasn't meaning what she thought she meant.

"Cut the crap. Listening to two of my best mates shagging all night isn't the best lullaby I've ever heard. Thanks Kimberley. I feel like crap now" snapped Sarah. Kimberley went a deep shade of red and noticed Cheryl standing in the doorway with a shocked look slapped on her face. Sarah saw the look on Kimberley's face, knowing Cheryl was standing behind her. "You were the worst" said Sarah, aiming it at Cheryl but not looking at her.

"She misses you Kimberley" Nadine sadly smiled to Kimberley.

"Is that all it is?" sighed Kimberley. Was it only that Cheryl missed her or was there more to it? The look on Nadine's face told her all she needed to know. Life just isn't that simple.
