Don't Be Afraid.
I am writing this article to this magazine regarding kids/teens who are LGBTI and afraid to 'come out.'
I was 15 when I came out to my mum we were sitting on the couch watching ink master and I just said "Mum I'm Bi." I was afraid of what she would say, so I asked "Are you ok?" she said "Yeah why wouldn't I be?" I just smiled.
I get that people will say that my mum won't be like their parents and I know that. Don't be afraid to be who you are, I know it's scary I know it can be hard. Being someone else is even worse. I was 13 when I knew I was so scared to tell anyone I kept it to myself for two whole years! It hurt a lot.
When I came out my life changed for the better I was a lot happier than what I was.
So please don't be afraid and come out if you feel comfortable and safe.
