~chapter 1~ "Its a secret"

" what if I can't do this?" Camila said running her fingers through her hair. " you got this sweetie, please don't doubt yourself" Camila's mom assured her giving her a quick hug. Camila took a deep breath as she listened to the girl on stage sing. " Damn it she can sing" Camila said, seeming even more nervous then what she did before. Camila was happy that she got her birthday wish which was to audition for the x factor . Finally, the girl came off stage Camila felt her heart beat out of her chest as she saw the emerald eyed girl enter the room. " Damn, she's freaking pretty to" Camila whispered to herself. The girl began to walk away. Camila had to talk to her, she just had to it was in the sweet girls nature, she loved making friends and getting to know people especially if they were as pretty as this girl. She had little time to think of something to say because the girl was almost gone. Finally, she took a deep breath and spoke. " I...I like your shirt" Camila stuttered with her words. Of course, this is as best as she could come up with, why didn't she just mention how pretty the girls eyes were. She felt even more stupid for stuttering. " thanks" the emerald eye girl said giving Camila a smile , then stopping in front of the young girl . " I.. I'm Camila" she said reaching out her hand , feeling stupid once again for stuttering. " hi, my name is Lauren" Lauren said shaking camila's hand . They both instantly felt some sparks, and this time their hearts were beating rapidly . " it's your turn, good luck " Lauren said , then began to walk off . " good luck to you to " Camila shouted to make sure the emerald eye girl could hear her . Camila then rolled her eyes , as she realized how stupid she sounded , why would she say good luck ?? The girl just got done singing . Camila was hoping she'd see Lauren again, she just had to. Camila didn't like having feelings for this girl , she couldn't anyways . After all she was her competition. Camila sighed before going on stage . Little did Camila and Lauren know that , this is when their life's changed forever .

The crowd was cheering , and screaming our names , as we finished one of our hit songs titled " boss"

It was funny to think that the 4 girls , who were once my competition on X factor, are now my absolute best friends , and also my band members . We are  called 5th harmony . " great job girls " our manager said as we exited the stage . We quickly got on our tour bus. " is it just me or is it hot in here ?" Normani said fanning herself . " it's just you girl " a voice said walking past me . I looked up to see that it was Lauren . My heart started beating rapidly , and I was getting those stupid butterflies I felt the day we met at the X factor audition. " aww, see this is why I like Lauren " normani said giving Lauren a hug. I wish it was me hugging her.

Me and Lauren have gotten very close since the audition. I always find myself smiling when I'm around her . " camz" Lauren said distracting me from my thoughts . " are you okay?" She asked seeming concerned . " I'm good, thanks" I said giving her a small smile , she smiled back before sitting next to Dinah on the couch . " so who are you crushing on ?" Ally said giving me a smirk . Lauren's eyes quickly shot back to me . She seemed to want to know the answer badly . Truth is I didn't really know if I had a crush on anyone , I haven't even had my first kiss yet. But, Lauren makes my heart beat fast, and she  makes me smile, and laugh , and she makes me happy. Maybe I like her . They couldn't know that though. " uh, no one I guess" I chuckled. Lauren's face then relaxed as she faced back to the tv taking a deep breath. I wonder what she was thinking about . " you guess?" Ally said cocking an eyebrow . I nodded my head . " I'll get it out of ya one day" ally smiled before walking away.

" what about you Lauren ? " normani said wiggling her eyebrows . " do you have a crush on anyone particular ?" She continued .

Lauren licked her lips and darted her eyes toward me then back to normani . " the question is do you?" Lauren smiled trying to change the subject .

" nice try Lauren " normani giggled " seriously is there anyone ?" She asked once again this time more serious .

Lauren looked at me once again . This time she smiled . " no not at all " she then got up and headed to her bunk . Normani gave me a weird look " well that was weird she said while standing up . " uh yea I guess so " I let out a fake chuckle . " well I'm going to bed it's been a long day , night mila" normani said patting me on the head then going to her bunk .

I couldn't get that quick moment at of my head . Why did Lauren keep staring at me like that ? Especially while normani was asking her about her crush ? I sighed before standing up to go brush my teeth for bed . I went to the bathroom and closed the door behind me when I saw Lauren standing in front of the mirror I froze . " l...Lauren , um what are you doing ? I ... I thought you went to bed ?" Fucking stutters . I hate myself . Why do I act like this when I'm around her ? It's ridiculous really .

" I forgot to brush my teeth " she said her eyes roaming up and down my body . I blushed at her eye contact . " oh , uh yea that's what I'm doing to "

I grabbed my toothbrush and took a deep breath before standing beside Lauren in front of the mirror . Lauren wasn't only a girl I totally adored but also my best friend I love all of the girls but not the way I loved her . She actually gets me and we have a lot in common . I started brushing my teeth when I caught something from the corner of my eye . Lauren . She was smiling at me ... " what ?" I giggled while spitting out tooth paste then turning off the sink . " nothing , I just think you're adorable " Lauren said brushing a strand of hair out of my face . " puppies are adorable " I laughed tucking the rest of my hair behind my ear and looking down at my feet . " typical Camila always gotta be right " Lauren laughed flicking water at me .

" seriously?" I said firmly and wiping the water off my face . " seriously " Lauren smirked . I turned on the faucet and splashed water all over Lauren . Her draw dropped in surprise . Until she clenched it shut and picked up a water bottle opening the cap and pouring it over my head . " oh I'm sorry cabello you looked a little hot " Lauren winked . I couldn't help but to grin and jump on top of her knocking to the ground . I straddled her pinning her arms down so that she couldn't move . " you're gonna pay for that jauregui " I smirked . " Psh please " Lauren laughed .

You know what I did next? I tickled the shit out of her . Lauren laughed like a hyena it was pretty cute though . " say you're sorry " I insisted . " ne...n...n..never!" Lauren said between breaths . So I continued to tickle her . " I'll stop once you apologize "

" okay okay fine ! " she laughed . " I'm sorry"

" that's better " I chuckled then getting off of her only to lay next to her on the cold bathroom floor . " it's pretty cold down here " I chuckled . " you think " Lauren laughed .

We layed there in complete silence for a few seconds . My heart was beating rapidly and I knew my cheeks for probably bright red by now just for laying next to her . I knew what my answer to ally and Normani's question was now . My crush was definitely Lauren . " Lauren " I spoke almost regretting trying to bring this conversation up . " yea camz?"

" between you and me , who really is your crush ?" I asked her only making my heart beat faster . I was scared honestly . Scared of her answer or afraid she might get mad for me asking the stupid question again . She sighed and turned around on her side facing me I did the same so that we were face to face . Her beautiful emerald eyes were locked with mine and our faces were only inches apart .

" it's a secret " she smiled .

" ah, will I ever know ?" I asked .

" someday " she smiled . " what about you ? I know you lied back there I'm sure you like someone , so who ?" She continued .

I smiled to myself at the thought of her having no clue that it's her . No clue that she's the reason I blush so easily , and why I sometimes feel weak In The knees . She didn't know that I thought she was tremendously beautiful with the most beautiful emerald eyes . I wasn't planning on telling her either . At least not yet .

" so ?" Lauren said snapping me out of my thoughts . " who is it ?"

" it's a secret " I smiled .
