It is noticed that Shine Star is the modern day version of Egyptian Queen Starry Night but also the modern day version of her past counterpart, Egyptian Princess Shine Star.
In the modern day version, Starry Night and Shine Star both wear pashminas according to the color they want. Shine Star's pashmina is pink while Starry Night's pashmina is violet.
In the ceremonial battle, when Shine Star, Starry Night and Atem go in the afterlife, Shine Star decided to stay in the present time forever to help Yugi and his friends. Starry Night and Atem agreed. Shine Star cried and went to hug and say goodbye to her parents. After the eye of Wdjat stopped glowing and Atem and Starry Night are inside of the afterlife, Shine Star passed out because of emotion. From now on, Shine Star stayed in the present time forever. She even became Yugi's dueling partner.
