Chapter 1
Five Years later...
"Come on Serene Scarlet, Robbie, And Tommy will be here soon to take us to school," Jareth yelled.
"Coming," I yelled back grabbing my back pack, mp3 player and purse. When i reached the living room I heard someone honking their car horn. Grabbing Jareth's wrist we said good-bye to his parents and hopped into Scrarlets jeep.
"Hey Serene good morning,"Robbie and tommy said,"Hey Jareth."
"Good morning,"I said.
"So I've got some exciting news," Scarlet Said as she sped down the road to school," The School is having a dance next week."
Oh no I mentally groaned that means shes going to be dragging me from store to store looking for dresses and accessories.
"Sounds like fun," I said put on a fake smile.
When we arrived at school i noticed some new students. The only reason i know that they are new is because no on in this town is pale or has piercing light blue eyes. "Looks like we got some new students," I said as we got out the jeep. Before i could say anything else i hear over the loud speaker," Will Serenity please come to the Office."
"what did you do this time Serenity, " Jareth asked.
"nothing I swear, "I replied heading to the front office.

"You wanted to see me," I asked as i entered the office.
"Yes," Headmaster Storm," I wanted to tell you to keep your friends by you at alll times."
"why," I asked.
"Because the school received this letter this morning addressed to you," hey said handing me the Letter.
Dear Serenity,
We're sending you this letter to let you know that your life is in danger. The person that killed your parents is coming for you . So to keep you safe we need you to keep your friends as close to you as possible. Dont go anywhere with out telling any one where your going or when you will be back. And don't go out at night.

"Can i go now," i asked wheni finished reading the letter. The Headmaster nodded and i left.
"So what did the Headmaster want to talk to you about," Jareth ask.
So i heanded him the letter as we walked to our homeroom class. When he finished he asked,"So who is this Protector?"
"I don't know," I replied taking my usual seat in the back.Before i have a chance to put my ear buds in the teacher said," Class we have some new students joining us today." Looking up I see that group of kids from earlier.." This is Apollo Blaze," Mrs. Blake said pionting to a boy with shagg black hair and piercing light blue eyes. "His Sister Ivy and their cousins Blaine and drake Blaze."
I couldn't help but notice the Apollo was staring at me but then again i was staring at him. "You may take he empty seats next to Serenity. Serenity please raise your hand." As i raised my hand i looked down at my desk. "Hello Im Ivy," ivy said taking the emty seat on my left", I have a good feeling that we will be the best of friends."
I was so glad when lunch came around because Ivy was in all of my morning classes and wouldn't stop talking. "hey Serene you look exausted," Jareth said sitting down.
"I am this new Girl Ivy is in all of my morning classes and she wouldn't stop talking it waas so annoying,"I replied taking a bite of my hamburger. "Hey Serenity," Ivy yelled from accross the lunch room. Groaning i got up and ran for the exit. "Wait up Serenity,"she yelled
when i finally made it to my locker i stopped to catch my breath. As i was resting i noticed a note taped to my locker. Pulling the note off my locker i read:
You think your friends will be able to protect you from me. well they cant when you least expected it i will kill you and it will be a slow and painful death.
Feeling myself grow pale I notice foot steps coming my way. Thinking fast I run into the janitors closet. "Where did she go," Ivy asked.
"I don't know," a male voice that i did not recognize replied,"But we have to find he or Apollo will be appset with us for not protecting her even if its her guardians job."
When i could no longer hear them i left the Janitors closet and went to the front office and checked out. Once at home i made a cup of hot chocolate and went to bed.

"SERENITY WHERE ARE YOU." Sitting up in bed i look at my alarm clock to see that its six o'clock at night. Getting out of bed I Open my bed room door to see my friends and Jareth coming up the stairs.
"We have been looking ever where for you and dad is not happy that you signed youself out of school,"Jareth said 'why did you leave anyway?"
"Because of this," I said handing him the note that I pulled off my locker.
"thats it," He said," From no on you will have some one with you at all times to watch and make sure no one hurts you and we found out who your protectors are. Its Ivy, Blaine and Drake."
