Prologue
My family is gone. They left me alone in this world. I only have a picture t remind me of them.
So here I am standing in the cemetary alone with what few possessions I own. I had been standing there for quite sometime that I hadn't realized how late it had gotten. Picking up my suitcase I turned around to leave only to see my path blocked.
"Hello Serenity," the man infront of me said.
"My parents told me to never talk to strangers," I said.
"But i'm no stranger ,"He said,"I am your godfather. My name his Thomas Blood." He added holding out his hand. taking hold of his out stretched hand I let him lead me to his car. Once inside the car he asked", How do u know if i'm not lying too you?"
Looking up into his redish brown eyes i reply with a smile," I have a special gift that allows me to know if someone lying to me." After an hour drive we finally arrived at his home. Looking up at the house my jaw dropped. His house is huge.
"come on Serenity," he said pulling me out of his car," I want you to meet my wife Rose and our son Jareth."
As we entered the house a boy my age met us in the hallway. "Serenity this is my son Jareth," Thomas said as a women in her early thirties came up behind him," And My wife Rose."
"Hi," i said," its nice to meet you."
"And you as well,"Rose said.
"Jareth why dont you show Serenity to her room, Thomas and rose said.
When Jareth took hold of my hand it felt like electricity was flowing up and down my arm.
"Umm what just happened," i asked looking from Jareth to his parents.
"I have no idea,"Jareth said pulling me up the stairs," Let me show you your room."
When we finally reached the third floor jareth took me to the last door. "This is your room," He said opening a lillic colored door. As i entered the room i swear i felt my jaw drop. The walls were a soft whte with hints of a lavender and rose color pattern. My bedding was a lillic comfotor and pillowcases with white sheets. I also noticed a laptop, mp3 player, and flatsceen.
"this is the most amazing bedroom ive ever seen," i said feeling a smile spread across my face.
"your bathroom is through that rose colored door and your closet is through the lavender colored door,"Jareth said.
"thank you," I said putting my suitcase on the bed" Can i ask you something."
"Sure,"he said.
"what was with that electricity flowing up and down my arm,"I asked.
Sighing jareth sat down on my bed and said," Serenity my family are what you would call a Guardian. When a guardian finds his/her charge they both fell electricity where they touch. I guess you could call me your guardian angel."
"so your like my personal body gard," i said," That is so cool."
