"Please?" You said as you followed your best friend, Kite, down to the lake.
"No." He replied coldly, obviously annoyed by your constant begging.
"Come on, why won't you let me cut your hair?" You pouted as the two of you sat down in front of the lake, leaning against a tree. He began to fish, trying to block you out.
"It'll be just a trim." You said with a cute smile. He let out a deep growl before looking at you.
"Just a trim?" He asked, you nodded.
"Yep!" He sighed and nodded. You grinned and took the scissors out of your bag.
"Thanks Kite." You said as you got to cutting.
- Time Skip -
You stared at what you had done to Kite's long white locks. You held in your giggles as you moved to the front of him to see better. You couldn't contain it anymore, you burst into laughter. Kite was obviously confused.
"Y/n... What did you do?" He asked,
"N-Nothing..." You said in between laughs,
"I just might've made your hair go down to just your ears." You said, his eyes widened, he stood up, you were getting kinda scared, but you continued to laugh.
You stood up and put your hands on his chest since you were about to fall over from laughing.
"I-I'm sorry Kite, it's just s-so funny." You laughed. You began to stumble around from laughing and then suddenly began to fall backwards into the lake. You, not wanting to fall, reached out and grabbed Kite's shirt to try and save yourself... It didn't work.
The two of you ended up falling into the pond, him on top of you, cliche I know.
You both blushed and you pushed him off of you and into the lake, nearly drowning him in the process. You continued to laugh at his surprised and slightly terrified face from nearly drowning. He, surprisingly, began to howl with laughter as well.
The two of you laid side by side in the lake, laughing your heads off, looking like complete lunatics, for a good 3 minutes before stopping for breath. You both panted, out of breath from laughing. You turned toward him and realized he didn't look too bad.
"Ya know, you don't look half bad with short hair." You said, he turned to you as well.
"I don't care..." He trailed off, he slowly leaned in and pecked your forehead.
"I'm never letting you cut my hair again." He whispered in your ear. You could feel his warm breath on your skin, it sent shivers up your spine. In one quick move you leaned in and kissed him on the lips. It was sweet and passionate, you pulled away and you looked into each other's eyes.
"Well, I might just let you do it one more time." He said with a grin as he kissed you again.
He pulled away, stood up and helped you out of the water. He put his large blue coat around you and began to walk you back to where the two of you had been staying for a while. You realized that you loved this man and that you always would.
Kite's hair soon grew back to it's normal length, you had no idea how it grew so fast. You didn't care, long hair, short hair, annoyed or happy, you still loved Kite with all your heart and you knew he felt the same.
