I listened closer taking short silents breaths. I felt my heart rate increase from my now silent pants, and my discovery of even fainter pants beside me. I felt myself take an involuntary gulp. Were those three men really following me? What did they have planned, and I wonder if they realize how loudly they all were breathing.

Involuntarily my pace quickened once again to a near jog. I found myself racing against an unknown character. Heavy feet attached to an unknown figure. It must be that overweight fellow that decided to stick to my trail, and I still had a ways to travel before I reach my abhod, but I was begining to freak out. At that moment a crackle of thunder reared its ugly head, and lightening flashed across the sky the match the wreched sound.

"Not tonight." I whispered frantically. "of all nights not tonight. Please." A fearful tear rolled down my cheek just as the sky opened its watery gates. I began running. Leaves and twiggs began snapping and popping in the woodland beside me. My heart lurched into my throat and I ran still. It beat at an uncontrollable rate, growing faster with each breath I drew into my lungs. My foot falls began to grow more and more frantic, yet I didn't feel like I was getting any closer to my place of residence.

The rain had only been pouring for an estimated time of seven minutes, and my clothes were already soaing wet. There would have been no complaint from me had this been the same tempatured stormy rain two months ago during the hot season, but this is the gloomy season. The rain was relentless, cold, and for lack of better description angry.

The wind was just as sour; pushing me to and fro soo easily. Each of my little steps faultered in the grumpy weather, giving me the feeling that if thiings persist I would undoubtedly be washed away. The storm would grow quiet strong then just as quickly blanket rain over my petite frame. Keeping my pace in such treturous weather was quite the task, and I almost let out a content sigh of relief when my seemingly perfect boarding boarding house came into view, except for the heavy step that followed in close proximidy to my own person.

As I got closer my brain went  into over driver. How could I construct away to safety, however false it may appear. How closely could i walk until running would be a good idea. My mind raced with each step that brought me closer and closer to myy own personal private hell hole. The place that would act as my safe haven until i actually walk into the house. If only i could reach its false homely depths.

As soon as my swollen slippers touched the concret side walk adjacent to the boarding house I began to run. I didn't feel the sloshy pavement as I sped towards my front door. I didn't fee the rain pouring down over soaking me to the bone, and i definetly didnt hear the rapid snapping of twiggs branches leaves or whatever else that was in the mystery figures way as it traveled parallal to me. I was completely oblivious as i made a mad dash towards the front door.

Things began to clear up as I raced through my front yard. Although my surroundings were oddly silent I still had a feeling that I was being watched, and the storm was posing as heavy concelling curtains for my audiance.

I glanced behind me, but I kept walking forward. Of course i was in a hurry to get inside. What i saw should have sent me flying if not shooting away, screaming my head off; But I was shocked. Frozen in my place. Mercilessly rooted to the ground staring at a pair of over-sized Golden almond shaped eyes. I was captured in a golden gaze. Trapped until released.
