Jess POV

"Oh my god it's a fox!" I yelled. "She looks hurt. Come on Hazel but be careful," I said looking down at her.

I walked towards the fox. Hazel was behind me holding my hand. I knelt down next to the fox.

She was very muddy and had lots of cuts. She looked up at me and we looked into each other's eyes. "We need to help her. Hazel go get the first aid kit and a drink bottle," I said.

She looked at me for a second then nodded. After she left I looked down at the fox again. She looked very weak.

"It's going to be ok," I said to her.
Hazel came back with the backpack. "I didn't know if you need anything else so I bought it all," she said with a small smile.

She gave me the backpack and I got out the first aide kit and my drink bottle.

I cleaned all the cuts with some water from the drink bottle and some cloth from the first aid kit.

Then I put bandages on her front left Paw. I put the stuff back into the backpack.

"We need to bring her home so we can  clean her up," I said while looking at the fox.

Hazel put on the backpack and I carefully picked up the fox and we started walking home.

Jess POV

When we got home Hazel opened the door and we walked in.

I put the fox down on the kitchen table.

"Hazel look after her. If anything happens run to me. I'll be in the bathroom getting ready to clean her," I said and walked to the bathroom.

Hazel POV

Jess walked out of the room.

I looked round at the fox and slowly walked over to her.

She put her head up and looked at me.

She stood up and I rushed over to her and made her sit down.

I did not want her to stand or she might get Hurt. She was now shivering.

I quickly went and grabbed a blanket from the couch and put the blanket on her.

Jess came into the kitchen.

Jess POV

I walked into the kitchen and saw that Hazel had put a blanket on the fox.

I went over to them and picked the fox up. "Come on we need to clean her," I said to Hazel.

We went into the bathroom and I took off her bandages. I put her in the bath and started to clean her.

Jess POV

After I was finished washing the fox I dried her and brought her into my room.

I put her on my bed. Now that she was clean I could see how beautiful she was.

She was a red fox with white on the tips of her tail and her ears.

She had a white tummy and her eyes were a ruby colour and she was bigger then any other fox I had seen. "Your beautiful," I said.

She put her head up and I swear she winked at me. Hazel came into the room with some new bandages.

She gave them to me and I put them on her. "There all better," I said. "Yes thank you,"someone said.

I looked around at Hazel. "Why did you say thank you," I said confused.

"I-I didn't. I-I thought you said it," said Hazel.
